A flash of lights and rushing colors exploded in the path of the soul entering the body it was going to be born into. The sequence of colors ended after its display of artistic sequences and imagery, the next thing to happen was blackness that covered over the line of vision the soul's body had. The eyes from the newly born body opened slowly with the light seeping into them erasing the darkness, the blurry vision from the eyes waking themselves up started becoming clearer till the eyes saw two women hovering over with joyful smiles on their faces. One with long brown hair and a beautiful face. The other one with mid-length midnight blue hair and a more refined face of a trained soldier. When the eyes saw the women, the mind of the newborn baby had thoughts race over and over in confusion as to what happened. The thoughts were not that of a newborn baby in the technical sense, but that of a developed young adult with no idea about what was happening in this moment. The thoughts belonged to the previous hikikomori who died from falling off his apartment building. His soul didn't descend into nothingness like he believed it would from committing suicide like he did. Instead, it was reborn, the most unexpected moment he couldn't fathom. He wasn't really religious before, even if he was in the last moment of his life he would believe more he was going to Hell than reincarnation.
'What the??? Is this some dream? I was just literally dying from smashing my body into a car. What is going on?'
The hikikomori was confused. What exactly did he do to be reborn as a baby? He wasn't a good person or bad at that. More so he was neutral so it begged the question of why he got brought back to life. He tried to move his body but forgot his body was that of a baby again, it didn't have the full range of control needed to really move on its own as his previous one did. He was going to try again, but he decided to stop since it would be meaningless at this point since he was being held in the arms of the beautiful woman. He stared at her, her face red with joy as her fingers rubbed the warm cheeks of the baby in her arms.
"Look at him Mana, he's perfect. We made this. Me and you." The refined woman said.
"Yes, Akane we did. We finally gave birth to a child, a baby boy at that. I couldn't be anymore happier than now. I just wish your Father was alive to see this." The beautiful woman, Mana said.
The hikikomori could read the feelings on their faces. They lost an important Father figure to them. He didn't have that in his previous life in his opinion, his Father wasn't special or amazing, just a salaryman hoping his child would be successful enough to take care of him and the Mother when they couldn't do it themselves anymore in the future.
The hikikomori hated them for that, he wanted to feel supported by them at all times when he needed it, but only resentment was the feelings that were left behind when he decided to throw himself off his balcony.
The Doctor assigned to the women walked into the room after her small break to check on the new family. The baby saw It was another woman, a little older than the mothers. The Doctor was just as happy to see the baby born a boy as well, even rubbing the fingers in joy.
"Well well, how is our little patient doing." the Doctor asked playfully looking at the newborn.
"Excellent, healthy, and no signs of the Ghast Virus. We're thankful the Gods blessed us with good fortune."
'Ghast Virus? Did they think I be born some undead monster? I've heard that name many times in horror books and movies. What kind of world have I been reincarnated into? I'm still trying to figure out how this is even possible at all?'
The Doctor began to do the standard procedures for every newborn boy, she checked vitals, pupil response, temperature, or any signs of the virus. All tests were in perfect standards with no problems or concerns to be worried about. The next thing was placing a device on the forehead and a stone on the heart, it was the real test that was hanging in the minds of the Mothers.
"Are you two ready to see where he stands?"
"Yes, please. We need to know how to properly prepare him for his future and safety."
The hikikomori was worried. He watched a lot of anime and read manga a lot in his previous life, only a few caught his interest though since he was picky about story writing and details in the art design. The worry of being born into a new and highly dangerous world raced through his mind, he gulped in silence at what was going to be the answer. The Doctor started up a machine, and a tingling sensation ran through the hikikomori's head, the Doctor's hand was over the stone, it glowed intensely from reading his soul. The device on Hikikomori's head shorted out and the stone shattered after it reached a conclusion.
The Doctor was shocked from the display of breaking of the equipment. That was a rare sight to see, she hadn't seen that happen in her time since she began her practice, she heard of an occasion like this one with the same results as the previous Headmaster Retsu Kamiki from her former days at Kamui Academy when he was alive.
"Doctor, is our boy alright, is that supposed to be normal with that test?" Mana asked with concern running through her mind.
"Ladies, I think you're more than blessed with a boy, your son's mental strength is highly advanced, and his magic capabilities are unmeasurable. What I'm saying is he's a rare birth. He's a Prime Caliber."
The Mothers were shocked. Their child was a Prime Caliber, they couldn't believe it at first, Mana wasn't a strong magic user, she was a chef who used magic to preserve food and rid it of unhealthy or toxic features. Akane was a soldier in the Army. She was a 2nd Lieutenant who specialized in tactical combat with offense skills in flame magic. Deep in their minds, they believed there was no way they birthed a Prime Caliber with their skills or magic energy as average as they were.
"Should we be worried Doctor?"
"No no, in fact, you should be rejoicing. A Prime Caliber is rarely born, most have to put their bodies through hell to achieve this level. But you two have one born, the prestige you'll receive will be great and the financial tuition for his education will be excellent when he grows older. My only recommendation is to train him carefully. A child with that much power could hurt himself without practice or worse die."
The hikikomori didn't like that last comment. He already did that. Now that he had been given a new life, one he was going to enjoy with this kind of advantage he wasn't going to ruin it now that he was handed a golden ticket.
'I get reborn, I have powerful abilities, and I'm starting over as a baby again. Like hell I'm going to waste this second chance. I'm living the life I deserve after all that effort into the old one never paid off like it should have. I'm gonna live this life to the fullest even if I have to be a total jerk in the process. I was one before but not a bully. I'll do the bare minimum to skate by so I can relax in peace and not have to interact with people so much.'
"So what are we gonna name him Akane," Mana asked with a smile. She couldn't help stop being happy that she was a mom now.
Akane rubbed her hand over the reborn hikikomori's forehead. He did his best to act humbled like a baby would even with him being annoyed with being touched against his will. He still had that anxiousness with people touching him after the bullying in his previous life. Akane revealed she picked out a name a long time ago if her wish for a boy would happen.
"It's obvious, it's the name my Father was going to give if I ever had a brother. His name will be…."
