The entire world felt tension in the air, even the uncharted lands.
After Horo got that ominous news from the devil lord he purified, he informed all of his masters, that included his newly ascended father, the divine fearing pope, and the unmatched sword god.
His father was officially a demigod. His soul had ascended, but his body was still in the divine pool being nourished to complete its transformation. He could communicate through his soul and that's how Horo was able to inform him.
The church had six main branches, but many smaller ones across the empire zone of the world. The pope sent out a detailed message regarding the plans of the supreme devils. This put all of the knights, priests, the league and wanderers on edge. They were scouring the cults hideouts and underground caverns in an attempt to discover the secret to how the devils would make a lasting gate possible.
His one true master, the sword god, was known to not have ties to anything. Yet, when he received the news from Horo he rushed to inform all of the Tribes and miniature civilizations in the uncharted lands. No one knew, except Horo, but the almighty sword god had many close friends among the tribe heads and leaders of groups of people within the uncharted lands.
This was because he spent many, many years wandering these lands. He loved how the people were so free, and fearless. It reminded him of his own unfettered personality. This caused him to grow close with some of the outstanding figures in these lands. They not only had special powers unknown to the land of the empires and church, but they also had special personalities unlike others he knew in the main lands.
They were unbound by rules and regulations of a large society, they only had their culture and ancestry to respect and live by.
The sword god grew to like the uncharted and its inhabitants, and he even went out of his way to save some tribes from primeval beast. This gave him the chance to grow closer to some notable figures, and while doing so he learned and incorporated some of their powers into his sword path. Yes, everything became part of his sword path, unlike Horo who cultivated every path individually.
He informed the tribes, and also helped them prepare for the devastation that may come from the abyss. He left many of the smaller tribes with a special item he created that could hold a sword strike of his.
A sword strike capable of easily wiping a Supreme devil's incarnation off the face of Evergreen.

Horo continuously trained, significantly improving all of his paths. While doing so he worked on merging special aspects of his paths together into new moves and techniques, or he tried to create better synergy with his paths in general.
As he performed a sword strike, he watched his sword release a dark beam that looked like it was part of outer space.
Suddenly the whole world shook. Horo felt his entire body shake uncontrollably. That was because there was an extremely loud, thunderous roar somewhere deep within him.
....
The Sword God was sitting with his eyes closed on top the head of a gigantic beast, which was laying on a mountain a hundred times larger then its body. The beast was snoring, and the snoring shook half of the mountain, which was the reason no other beast dared go above the top half of the mountain. When the entire world shook its eyes snapped open with the sound of thunder. The Sword god eyes did the same, without the thunderous sound, his sword however let out a howl even greater than that.

A figure that had heavy armor on, was leaning on a tall golden shield with his eyes closed. The shield had strange symbols and around its edges and a cross in the middle that cover the entire shield. When the world shook his entire body, as well as his shield shone brightly. He mumbled to himself, "Well let's see if I finally have a challenge for my shield."
...
The pope's reaction to the shake of the world was the simplest out of everyone on Evergreen, he simply looked to the east. His eyes, as blind as they were, were unhindered from seeing the reason behind the shake. He saw through all of the obstacles such as the building he was in.
As he peered at the sky in the east he saw a huge hole there. Surrounding the hole was cracks in the sky. These weren't simple cracks. They were formed by abyssal symbols made of flames that were blood red.
The pope said, "Oh, dear higher gods of Evergreen, I hope your heads up gave this world enough time to prepare for the invasion of the abyss. I'm glad to have been blessed to teach an outstanding person like Horo. I feel even more blessed to be able to use my light, gifted by you all, to fight against the abyss and purify some supremes.
....
At a point in the east, above a set of islands in the middle of an ocean that divides the primeval uncharted lands and the main land of the empires and church, the large hole the pope was the first to witness sat in the sky.
A figure that was about three meters tall came out of the hole. The being had horns like a Sable Antelope, with pitch black sclera and blood red irises. It had very lanky arms and legs, which were covered along with the rest of its body in black fur. It breathed in a deep breath of air before speaking in a feminine voice.
"What a pure world. We'll enjoy tainting it with the abyss."
After it spoke it dropped down to an island at the speed of sound, but landed gracefully. The effects of an impact weren't present in her landing at all.
Not long after, droves of devils and abyssal creatures exited the hole that lead to the abyss. The surprising thing was they acted completely disciplined, and lined up like an army would on the island below. This was unusual for abyssal beings. They usually acted violently and recklessly without thought, only the devil lords usually showed higher intelligence and cunning.
That was only the case in a world like Evergreen. Any abyssal creature lesser than a devil lord would be thrilled to bring ruin and chaos to a pure world, it helps improve their abyssal aura and heart which in turn could improve their growth.
But in the presence of a supreme they could only obey, and a supreme only cared about tainting an entire world to gain strength. They would go about doing so the quickest and smartest way possible.
What the supreme devils who put this entire plan together didn't know, was that the upper echelons of this world was already aware of their upcoming invasion.
