[ Stussy POV ]
Mariejois
I was about to enter the World Government building when a ground breaking explosion occured from my left.
I looked on to see a black flash with silver highlights clashing with Whitebeard's strike. Whitebeard was using the power of the quake-quake fruit to subvert the attack. I could only assume that was the source of the explosion. Sengoku had been right behind him during the entire event happened.
Whitebeard eventually expelled the attack, but he didn't seem to happy about the fact that he had to. He yelled something towards the distance, though I couldn't hear what was being said. I promptly sighed before entering the still standing World Government building.
Although this building was meant for official World Government purposes. I knew that it served another purpose. That purpose, was to store Aegis Cipher Pol personal records.
What many people, Boris included, fail to notice is that every member of Cipher Pol was immediately documented upon joining the organization. They would do strict background checks for each member to ensure that their identity is legit, and also to find out where their loved ones were so they could blackmail them into doing things they didn't want to. The latter almost never happened because everyone went through a school that instilled loyalty towards the World Government.
However, those records never erased no matter the cost. That's also another reason why CP agents never really retired. They were either killed in action, or served till they died. I needed to erase those files because they might find an inconsistency that would have traced me back to Vegapunk. I made a huge risk by lying on my background. It was already obvious enough that I had an immediate similarity to Buckingham Stussy, so I simply lied by saying I was her twin sister.
They never really bothered trying to look into it because that would mean that they would've had to look into Stussy's past. Although it was a troublesome task, it wasn't impossible to do if they were determined enough. However, following my failure to protect Saint Lazarus and my immediate betrayal, I knew that they would eventually try to look into it to find any leverage that they could use on me.
It wouldn't have been surprising if they had tried to make me a spy within the Whitebeard Pirates. That's what they had always done for trouble some pirates and organizations that posed a threat to the World Government. Moreover, if they were to look into it, they would have found out that the background information was a total sham. Knowing their relentlesness whenever they wanted to uncover something; it wouldn't have been long till they found out my connection to Dr. Vegapunk.
Walking into the building, I found that the offices were completely abandoned. They were probably running rampant trying to safely secure the Celestial Dragons somewhere safe. I immediately made my way to an ordinary door that was located in a quiet part of the building. I picked the lock carefully before making my way down the staircase that led towards a dark basement.
It was easy to sense the snail videos using Observation haki. So I immediately took those out before turning on the light. I immediately found my files and read through them just to make sure that the information that I put in there was still there. Luckily for me, the information was still the same; I immediately used a nearby lighter to burn the papers and carefully disposed of the ashes.
I had a feeling that they would probably have backups for my files. So as a form of contingency, I looked around to see if there were any indications of that around. I even went as far as using my Observation haki to sense any openings within the building.
To my surprise, there was an opening within the building. It was a latch that was attached to the floor at the other side of the building. They had covered the opening with a carpet to make it look inconspicuous. I carefully opened it and entered, the room inside was even darker than the basement that I was in previously in. I couldn't sense any transponder cameras within the vicinity, they were probably confident that nobody would've gotten this far.
As I walked around, I found some prison cells. Some of those cells were frozen, while others seemed to have chains within them; restricting whatever they had decided to imprison. It was then I managed to stumble upon a particularly large cell, within it sat a giant strawhat that was frozen for preservation. It was quite the random find, but I decided to keep that in mind regardless.
I kept walking and I eventually found a particularly large door in front of me. I immediately used my Observation to look for anything dangerous or worth of notice. There was a huge object that was suspended high in the room, but my haki wasn't advanced enough to determine what it possibly could have been. Curious, I decided to open the door to see for myself.
The door let out a majestic groan and I started walking inside. It was just as dark as the other rooms that I had visited. I could only use a torch that I had found in the previous room as a form of light. The fire illuminated a large weapon like object hung in the air, it was just as my Observation haki had sensed. However, it was the details that had left me sort of perplexed as to what it exactly was.
'It looks like a cannon? But why is it aiming downwards? Moreover, how the hell did they manage to dig a hole within the Red Line?'
So many questions were manifesting in my mind, as I started to circle the object. As I looked around to see more of the object, I also kept an eye out for any documents that were littered across the table. However, there wasn't anything worth noting, it was all about this weapon; just detailing about the results of the numerous experiments that were performed on it.
It was quite the perculiar discovery, but I could only shrug my shoulders and take my leave. I would tell Boris about this later; maybe we, along with the help of Olvia, could identify this object and find out its purpose. I quickly left the building, but before I could completely leave, I had set up explosives that I had found within the deepest parts of that room with that large object. I immediately rigged them to blow to make sure that I erased all traces of me within it.
It exploded as I moonwalked all the way to the Bondola. It was there that I finally found that fishman that I had sent with Thatch. He seemed to have trouble activating the Bondola so that they could lower themselves down to the Red Port. I landed next to Thatch to check on his condition, he was doing a little bit better; they probably managed to stop by a doctor or something.
The fishman was so distracted by the Bondola's controls, so he really didn't notice my presence there. I tapped his shoulders and gave him a kind smile, the fishman jumped before staring at me cautiously.
"Mr. Fishman, allow me to take us down to Red Port. Thank you for taking care of Mr. Thatch for me," I thanked him kindly.
He nodded cautiously before backing off and standing near Thatch, who was quietly snoozing while sitting on the wall. I took that oppurtunity to slowly lower the Bondola down to Red Port, it was up in smoke and flame. Showing that Ken and the rest of the Fourth Division had successfully managed to raid Red Port.
Landing there, I slowly led the unconcious Thatch and Fishman towards the large ship that I saw while we were lowering the Bondola. It was there that I had found the crew that we had separated with earlier. Suddenly, I remembered that I had forgotten to ask for his name, and turned to look at the red Fishman who was walking with me.
"By the way Mr. Fishman, what's your name?" I asked.
"My name, is Fisher Tiger. Thank you for helping me," Fisher Tiger responded thankfully.
