Chapter 28 - A Mistake

A hand enshrouded in lightning was not some known or practised technique to Tion, it was one improvised, one born from the need to survive and now even as his mana coils struggled to handle the heavy load and convert the mana to lightning, the flesh on his hand burned and singed as it was being made to hold raw lightning, all Tion sought was the feeling of his hands colliding with skin and then when that happened, the boy become lost in the sweet revelling feeling of having his hand dipped in blood and flesh.

Despite the intense pain from several angles in his boys, a grin climbed Tion's face when his entire arm disappeared into Barak's left chest and without much delay a trail of blood fell from the side of the man's mouth.

"Was it arrogance, anger, or did you just lack patience?" Tion said as he stared into the trembling and shocked eyes of Barak

Hearing Tion's words, Barak gritted his teeth and lifted his right hand, wanting to swing the swords in it at Tion but just as his hand went up, the sword fell out of it, and with despair in his eyes his hand fell back down and he would have fallen to his knees were it not for Tion who still had his hand in his chest holding him up.

"One mistake" Barak muttered as his eyes closed and whether the man meant it as a message to Tion or himself, the boy took those words personally.

"All he made was one mistake," Tion thought, a strong shiver going through his body.

With a bit of effort, Tion took his hand out of the corpse, and he watched the man's body fall to the ground, more blood quickly flowing out of the hole he had made, his body trembled once more and a few memories couldn't help but pop up as he fell on his butt.

With Vividity, Tion remembered his last mission with Emily and Maria, he remembered how he had ended up saving with his lightning bow and then he couldn't help but think about what would have happened were he and Leah not there.

Tion thought about his fight with Potters and remembered his slight moment of distraction when a woman and child had shown up, he also remembered how he had tunnel-visioned himself when fighting Potters and then gotten attacked from the side.

Finally, Tion thought to his just-ended battle with Barak and remembered just how the man's decision to throw a roundhouse kick had changed everything.

Though Tion had indeed been too fast for the man to properly anticipate, he still had his experience from years of battle and Tion was weary of getting hit once because he was more than sure that if Barak were to get his hands on him, even if it cost him an arm, the man would sacrifice to end him.

All in all, these memories, highlighted to Tion how fragile life was in a battle and how every single moment, decision and action counted.

Sure, this was something Tion had always known, but at the moment, this knowledge was properly highlighted to the boy and deeply imprinted in his heart.

Sitting on the floor for a few seconds, Tion stayed staring at Barak watching as the pool of blood around the man increased and then he with a grunt pushed himself to his feet.

Getting to his feet, Tion wanted to move towards the exit of the white room but then he felt a wave of weakness go through him.

"I'm out of adrenaline and my heartbeat is dropping back to normal" The boy thought bitterly already knowing what was coming next.

Without fail, just as Tion's survival instincts finally took a backseat, the pain from his bleeding back and burnt hand, his electrocuted nerves and his body all came slamming into him and without a bit of resistance, Tion fell to the ground.

"Oh boy, I think I'm going to die" Tion groaned on the floor.

"Say do we have enough mana for me to survive if I fall unconscious" Tion thought to his avatar spirit.

"...…."

"Oh, that's good," Tion thought as he let the darkness take him.

......….

"Then what about pink, do you like pink," a young woman dressed in a short black skirt that ended at her thighs asked the rather hulking figure sitting beside her.

With her long deep black hair tied into twin ponytails, her red eyes and dark red lipsticks on her near-round fair face, this young woman made for a cutie that would turn any man's head, but then her blessing just didn't end there.

Despite already having a face that would make a woman kill to be her and make men want to care for and pamper her for the rest of their lives, Mother Nature still saw it fit to bless the woman with racks that at the moment stood firmly on her chest and gave the man sitting beside the girl and eye full of the woman's big milky breasts.

"Pink isn't really my thing, I could even say I hate it, I'm more in tune with red, it reminds me of the blood of my many defeated enemies" The man to the girl's die said with a grin looking down at her at doing nothing to hide the fact that his eyes were occasionally going to her massive cleavage.

"Oh, well that's too bad, I guess, you won't like my pussy walls then," the woman said with a small shake of her head, her ponytails cutely shaking along with her.
