Chapter 30 - The Reassurance

Hanyu slowly opened his eyes, blinking against the brightness of the room. His body felt different, stronger, but also sore from the transformation. He saw his parents, Leng and Yao, hovering anxiously by his side.

Hanyu: (groggy) Mom? Dad? What happened to me?

Leng: (gently) Hanyu, you were severely injured. Dabao saved you by administering the Titan Serum. You're a Titan now.

Hanyu: (shocked) A Titan?

Yao: (tearfully) Yes, son. It was the only way to save you. We trust Dabao, and he did what he had to do.

Hanyu: (determined) I need to test my powers. I need to see what I can do now.

Hanyu slowly got up, his body still adjusting to the new strength coursing through him. He made his way outside the mansion, followed closely by his worried parents. In the driveway, his father's Rolls Royce gleamed in the sunlight.

Hanyu: (to himself) Let's see what I can do.

With a determined expression, Hanyu approached the car. He crouched down, wrapping his hands around the chassis. Taking a deep breath, he lifted the Rolls Royce effortlessly over his head. The sheer power he felt was exhilarating.

Yao: (astonished) Hanyu, you're incredible!

Leng: (proudly) You have the strength of a Titan now, son. Use it wisely.

Hanyu carefully lowered the car back to the ground, his mind racing with possibilities. He knew what he had to do next.

Hanyu: (resolutely) I can't let Dabao fight this war alone. I need to be with him, to support him. Together, we can win this and bring him back to everyone.

Yao: (supportive) We believe in you, Hanyu. Stay strong and stay safe.

Leng: (encouraging) Your journey won't be easy, but with Dabao by your side, you can achieve anything.

Hanyu: (determined) Thank you, Mom and Dad. I'll make sure we come out of this together. Dabao saved me, and now it's my turn to stand by him.

Dabao sat perched atop a tall building, the city sprawled out beneath him. The cool night air did little to calm the storm of thoughts swirling in his mind. He replayed the encounter with Hanyu's parents, their desperation, and the lengths he went to save his friend. He chuckled bitterly to himself.

Dabao: (thinking) Hahaha... I'm literally a fool. Just thinking about how my parents would react after seeing me like this. But I forgot that they are my parents, and they will always support me, no matter what I become.

Lost in his thoughts, he decided to reach out for some reassurance. He pulled out his phone and called Jacob, a close friend and confidant who always had a way of putting things into perspective.

Jacob: (picking up) Hey, Dabao. What's on your mind?

Dabao: (hesitant) Hey, Jacob. I've been thinking a lot about my parents. What do you think they would say if they found out I'm a Meta human now?

Jacob: (smiling) Dabao, your parents love you. They will accept you for whoever you are, no matter what you've become.

Dabao: (sighing) You think so? It's just... everything's so complicated now. I feel like I've lost touch with who I was.

Jacob: (reassuring) Listen, Dabao. Being a Meta human doesn't change who you are at your core. You're still their son, and they'll always see you as that.

Dabao: (softly) I hope you're right.

Jacob: (encouraging) I know I'm right. You have a strong heart, Dabao. And your parents will see that. They'll understand that everything you're doing is for the greater good.

Dabao: (grateful) Thanks, Jacob. I needed to hear that.

Jacob: Anytime, my friend. And remember, you're never alone in this. You have people who care about you, and they're rooting for you every step of the way.

Dabao: (determined) You're right. I need to keep moving forward. For them, and for everyone else who depends on me.

Jacob: Exactly. Now go out there and show the world what you're made of.

As the call ended, Dabao felt a renewed sense of purpose. He looked out over the city, the lights twinkling like stars.
