Suqing and Zhong arrived at the Leng residence, anxious to speak with Hanyu's parents, Leng and Yao Yao. To their surprise, Xubao and Su Han were also present.
Leng greeted them warmly, though a shadow of concern hung over the gathering. "Thank you for coming," Hao began, looking at Suqing and Zhong. "There's something you need to know about Dabao's visit to our home."
Zhong's eyes widened. "Dabao visited you? Why is he hiding himself from us? Just because he isn't fully human anymore doesn't mean we don't love him. He's my son, no matter what."
Suqing nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. "Yes, Zhong is right. We love him unconditionally. He's still our Dabao."
Yao Yao stepped forward, taking Suqing's hands in hers. "Suqing, I know it's hard for you. Dabao is scared because he believes you'll see him as a monster. But I told him that for parents, their child is the most important thing. It doesn't matter if Hanyu is a Titan now because he's our son, and we will always love him."
Suqing's tears flowed freely now. "Thank you, Yao Yao. It's comforting to hear that. I just wish Dabao understood that too."
Xubao, who had been silently absorbing the conversation, spoke up with determination. "Mom, Dad, we need to find a way to show Dabao that we love him no matter what. We need to bring him back to us."
Su Han nodded in agreement. "Yes, we must make him see that he is not alone, and that he has a family that loves and supports him."
Hao looked at the gathered group, his expression resolute. "We'll do whatever it takes to bring Dabao back. He's not just a hero; he's family."
Yao Yao added, "And family sticks together, through thick and thin. We'll make sure Dabao knows he's loved and accepted, no matter what form he takes."
Su Han's phone rang, jolting her from the conversation. She picked it up, her expression growing increasingly shocked as she listened to the caller.
Su Han: "What? No way..."
She quickly switched on the TV, the news flashing onto the screen. The headline read, "Vigilantes Defeat Titans in Century Park."
Xubao and Suqing joined her, their eyes widening in disbelief as they watched footage of two masked figures taking down the Titans.
Su Han: "That's... incredible."
Just then, Hanyu walked into the room, and everyone turned to look at him, still reeling from the news.
Yao Yao rushed to his side, concern etched on her face. "Hanyu, are you okay? You were hurt earlier..."
Hanyu smiled reassuringly, holding up his healed arm. "I'm fine, Mom. I healed myself."
The room fell into stunned silence as they processed Hanyu's words. Xubao's eyes widened in amazement.
Xubao: "You healed yourself? But... how?"
Hanyu shrugged modestly, but there was a spark of pride in his eyes. "I guess being a Titan has its perks."
Just then, Zhong's voice cut through the silence, his tone anxious. "But where's Dabao? Is he...?"
Before he could finish, a familiar voice spoke up from behind them.
Dabao: "Right here, Dad."
They all turned around in surprise to see Dabao standing there, his mask removed, revealing his face. Suqing's eyes filled with tears as she rushed to him, enveloping him in a tight embrace.
Suqing: "Dabao... You're okay..."
Dabao returned the embrace, his expression softened. "I'm fine, Mom. I'm sorry for worrying you."
Zhong stepped forward, his eyes filled with relief and pride. "Son, we heard about what you did in Century Park. You're a hero."
Dabao smiled gratefully at his father's words. "Thanks, Dad. But I couldn't have done it without Hanyu."
Hanyu nodded, a grin spreading across his face. "We make a pretty good team, huh?"
Dabao's voice trembled slightly as he recounted the harrowing events of the past five years, his family gathered around him, listening intently.
Dabao: "It was a nightmare, Mom, Dad. I was kidnapped by our family's enemies... they tortured me, cut off my limbs, took out my eyes. I thought I was going to die."
His parents listened in horror, their hearts breaking at the thought of their son enduring such suffering.
Suqing: "Oh, Dabao..."
Dabao continued, his voice growing steadier as he recounted the moment of salvation.
Dabao: "But then Jacob found me. He was a scientist, working nearby. He saved my life, gave me these cybernetic limbs, cybernetic eyes."
His parents exchanged a glance, their eyes reflecting a mix of emotions—relief, gratitude, and sorrow for what their son had endured.
Zhong: "You've been through so much, son. I'm sorry we couldn't protect you."
Dabao reached out and took his father's hand, squeezing it reassuringly.
Dabao: "It's not your fault, Dad. I'm just grateful to be alive... and to have a chance to make a difference."
Suqing wiped away her tears, her expression filled with love and pride.
Suqing: "We're so proud of you, Dabao. You've become so strong, in more ways than one."
Dabao smiled gratefully at his parents, feeling their love and support wash over him like a comforting embrace. Despite the darkness of his past, he knew that with his family by his side, he could face whatever challenges lay ahead.
