Chapter 1 - The Beginning

There were two big business empires in China: Imperial Group, owned by Zhong Jue Ye, and Jueshei Group, owned by Leng Hao Jin. Zhong Jue Ye had twins with his wife, Suqing Mo, while Leng Hao had a son named Hanyu with his wife, Yaoyao. They were a happy family, despite the media portraying Zhong Jue Ye and Leng Hao as the biggest business rivals. In reality, they were like brothers, and their wives had been best friends since childhood.

Zhong Jue Ye: "Wow, it's already been years since I remembered our children being so short, and now look at them; they are growing so fast."

Suqing Mo: "Indeed, dear. Time flies faster than we think, considering all we've been through."

Zhong Jue Ye looked at his wife and understood that she was worried about the past, especially their brief history with Zhong Elder and others. He comforted his wife, saying, "Don't worry, honey. As long as my father and I are here, no one will harm our family."

Suqing Mo: "I know, honey, but as a mother, I can't help but worry about our kids."

Then Vantean, Zhong Jue Ye's father, along with his wife, Jinhua, came there and said to Suqing Mo, their daughter-in-law:

Vantean: "Don't worry, Suqing Mo. They won't harm our family members as long as we are here."

Jinhua: "Yes, my dear daughter-in-law, we are a force to be reckoned with."

Suqing Mo looked at both of her in-laws and was relieved that they were still there for them.

Suqing Mo: "Thank you, Father and Mother. I don't know what I would do without all of you."

Zhong Jue Ye, being an overprotective husband, looked at his wife, Suqing Mo, and said:

Zhong Jue Ye: "My dear wife, I'm here, and you're complimenting my parents. I'm a little jealous now."

Both of Zhong Jue Ye's parents and his wife looked at him.

Vantean: "Seriously? Now you're jealous of your parents?"

Jinhua: "Oh, my poor son, you're just like your father. When you were young, you used to hug me tightly, which made your father jealous of you."

Both Zhong Jue Ye and his father looked at Jinhua with embarrassed expressions, hiding their faces.

Xubao was playing with her little brother, Dabao, and teasing him about his grades. Dabao looked at his sister and couldn't help but blush.

Xubao: "Oh, my little brother, you're really a cute little bean."

Dabao: "Seriously, big sister, you always tease me about this. Should I start teasing you about your crush, Hanyu?"

Then Xubao blushed intensely and said:

Xubao: "No, don't you dare, little brother."

Both Zhong Jue Ye and his wife looked at this and were a bit surprised.

Suqing Mo: "Oh my, it looks like our little Xubao is in love now."

Jinhua: "Oh my, my granddaughter is having a crush."

Upon hearing this, both Zhong Jue Ye and his dad gave different expressions.

Zhong Jue Ye: "Oh, hell no. I won't let him take away my precious daughter from me."

Vantean: "She won't be having a boyfriend until she's 40."

Jinhua and Suqing Mo exchanged a glance, a subtle yet potent signal passing between them. With a shared understanding, they turned their gaze towards their husbands, their expressions now carrying a dangerous aura.

Jinhua: "Now, boys, let's not be too overprotective. Our children will find their own paths in life."

Suqing Mo: "Yes, dear. We should trust them to make their own decisions."

Their husbands, Zhong Jue Ye and Vantean, sensed the shift in the atmosphere and exchanged a wary glance.

Zhong Jue Ye: "But... but, she's still our little girl. We just want what's best for her."

Vantean: "Indeed, but we must also recognize that they are growing up and will make their own choices."

Suqing Mo and Jinhua softened their gazes, their auras of determination fading into one of reassurance and understanding.

Jinhua: "Of course, dear. We just need to support them, no matter what."

Suqing Mo: "Yes, let's trust in their judgment and offer our guidance when needed."

Zhong Jue Ye and Vantean exchanged a nod, acknowledging their wives' wisdom and relenting to their reasoning.

Zhong Jue Ye: "You're right, as always, my love."

Vantean: "Agreed. We'll trust them to make the right decisions."

With that, the tense atmosphere dissipated, replaced by a sense of unity and mutual understanding among the family members.
