Chapter 4 - The School Medona

As Dabao, Xubao, and Hanyu enjoyed their lunch together in the school cafeteria, their conversation was momentarily interrupted by the arrival of Su Nan, the reigning beauty queen of the school. Heads turned as she glided gracefully into the room, her presence commanding attention from everyone around her. Xubao and Hanyu couldn't help but admire her, both silently acknowledging her impressive academic achievements and undeniable charm.

Xubao: "Wow, Su Nan looks stunning as always."

Hanyu: "Yeah, she's really something. Her academic record is almost as impressive as yours, Xubao."

Xubao smiled modestly, feeling a twinge of competitiveness but ultimately respecting Su Nan's intelligence and hard work.

Xubao: "Thanks, Hanyu. Su Nan is definitely a formidable opponent when it comes to academics."

Dabao's gaze lingered on Su Nan, his heart fluttering involuntarily at the sight of her. He admired her from afar, knowing that he could never compete with someone as beautiful and popular as her. Yet, despite his feelings, he buried them deep inside, resigning himself to the fact that he was no match for someone like Su Nan.

Dabao: *quietly to himself* "She's amazing... but I could never..."

As Su Nan passed by their table, Dabao's cheeks flushed slightly, but he quickly averted his gaze, not daring to let his feelings show.

Xubao and Hanyu noticed Dabao's reaction, exchanging a knowing glance between them. While they admired Su Nan's beauty and intelligence, they understood that Dabao's feelings ran deeper, even if he tried to hide them.

Hanyu: *gently nudging Dabao* "Hey, Dabao, you okay?"

Dabao quickly composed himself, offering a small nod in response.

Dabao: "Yeah, I'm fine. Just lost in thought for a moment."

Xubao and Hanyu exchanged a subtle look, silently acknowledging Dabao's unspoken feelings. As they resumed their lunch, they made a silent pact to support Dabao, knowing that his crush on Su Nan was a secret he wasn't ready to share with anyone just yet.
