In Celeste's office, she noticed a bouquet of flowers accompanied by a letter. Curious, she picked it up and read the brief message: "I miss you. - Levi."
Celeste couldn't help but smirk. "Miss me, huh?" she mused aloud, setting the letter back down. She hadn't expected to receive anything, but she left it there nonetheless.
Just then, there was a knock on the door, and Celeste looked up to see Gianne, her assistant, entering the room.
"Madam, we have another project underway, and Marketing Team 1 has been assigned to it. They're requesting your guidance and assistance. Can you spare them some time?" Gianne informed her.
Celeste glanced over the details of the project. "Sounds good. Do I have any available time on my schedule today or tomorrow?"
Gianne checked the schedule. "You'll have some free time starting at 5 PM today, unless you'd prefer to schedule it for tomorrow?"
Celeste nodded decisively. "I'll take it today, then. Please inform my father that I may be working overtime."
"Noted, madam. Do you need anything else?" Gianne asked, ready to assist.
Celeste raised her eyebrows thoughtfully. "There is one thing."
MEANWHILE, Leviathan was busy helping Leviticus set up his new room. They playfully argued over what decorations would be most suitable for the walls and bed.
"Are we finished here?" Leviathan asked, wiping sweat from his brow.
Leviticus nodded in agreement. "Yes, thanks for your help, brother."
"Of course. I'll see you later then?" Leviathan asked, casting a glance towards the door.
After closing the door, Leviathan instructed Matthew to remain on guard while he was away. He made his way to a secret hideout known only to him.
"Now, who's next on the list?" Leviathan muttered to himself as he scanned through the contracts laid out in front of him. "Ah, this one," He said, his eyes landing on a particular document. As he read through it, he felt a sense of familiarity wash over him. "Marriage," Leviathan murmured, tapping his finger on the document as he delved deeper into its contents.
"Why is this person desperate to get married, then will die anyway? What is the deal with marriage?" It keeps bugging his mind whenever the topic arises. "I'm so done with this whole marriage thing," Levi declares as he sits down to take a nap.
LEVI WAKES UP TO FIND IT ALREADY DARK OUTSIDE. He checks to ensure everything is in its place, signs the paperwork, and leaves once everything is done.
Glancing at his phone in anticipation of a reply from Celeste, Levi is disappointed to find no response from her.
He immediately has dinner with Leviticus and Matthew. Sensing tension, one of them initiates a conversation to break the ice.
"How's work?" Leviticus asks.
"Good," Leviathan responds, looking at him.
"Oh. Just wanted to let you know that I'll only be staying here for a short while. If things work out between Celeste and me, it will be better," Leviticus says with a smile.
Matthew is surprised by what he just heard. "Celeste?"
"What's wrong, Matthew?" Leviticus turns his head.
Matthew glances at Leviathan. "Ah, I just heard about her from the boss; that's why she sounds familiar."
"In that case, you can help me, right?" Leviticus says, and they all turn their heads when Leviathan puts down his utensils with a clang.
Matthew gets the idea. "Do you want a wine, boss?"
"Bring it to my room in 20 minutes. I'm done here," Leviathan says as he cleans his mouth.
Matthew nods. "Noted, boss. I'll finish my meal first."
Leviathan goes straight back to his room to shut himself away from them. He still can't decipher why he feels so concerned about—'Her.' He sighs.
AS THE DISCUSSIONS WITH MARKETING TEAM 1 CONTINUED, Celeste offered her insights and suggestions for the new project.
"If that's the case, then you all should try this approach. It's highly effective and has the potential to make a significant impact. Additionally, conduct a survey to gauge consumer interest in our current market," Celeste advised the team.
One of the team members, a woman, expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you for taking the time to assist us, madam. Your input is invaluable to us."
"Thank you for reaching out to me as well. With that said, it's time to wrap up for today and continue our work tomorrow," Celeste announced, closing her laptop and signaling the end of the meeting.
Everyone immediately left after that. Celeste switches off the lights before leaving the meeting room. On her way to the mansion, she notices a silhouette in the living room.
"Why are you so late?" Syron scolds her.
Celeste turns to face him. "I asked Gianne to inform you."
"Yes, I heard, but you need to take care of your health," Syron says as he switches on the lights.
Celeste comes to hug him. "I will. I've also met the man you mentioned."
"How did it go?" Syron asks eagerly.
Celeste giggles. "Not bad. I just don't see him as husband material."
"What are your plans with him, then?" Syron raises his eyebrows.
Celeste takes a deep breath. "We can discuss it tomorrow, Dad. I really need to sleep."
"Well, off you go to your room," Syron chuckles.
THE FOLLOWING DAY, the gentle rays filtering through the drawn curtains roused Celeste from her slumber. A maid was at hand to assist her in selecting attire for the day.
"This will do," Celeste decided.
The maid nodded with a warm smile. "I'll iron it for you, my lady."
"Thank you!" Celeste returned the smile graciously.
As Celeste made her way to the dining area, she found a sumptuous meal already laid out. Syron, seated at the head of the table, greeted her with a fond glance upon her arrival.
"How was your sleep?" Syron inquired.
"Good," Celeste replied, taking her seat.
"I heard Leviathan hasn't been with you lately," Syron mentioned casually, cutting into his steak.
Celeste mirrored his action, "We had a misunderstanding."
"Ah, is that why you seem like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed?" Syron teased lightly, attempting to lighten the mood.
Celeste's expression shifted to one of confusion. "Is it that obvious?"
Syron chuckled. "I'm just kidding."
Celeste felt a blush creeping up her cheeks. "DAD!" she exclaimed in embarrassment.
IN THE DIMLY LIT CORNER BEHIND THEM, someone overheard their conversation. Zeniah joined them, taking a seat opposite Celeste.
"Good morning!" Zeniah greeted cheerfully.
Celeste nodded in return. "Good morning to you as well."
"What were you two talking about?" Zeniah turned to her father.
Syron cleared his throat. "It was about your sister's bodyguard."
"What's wrong with him?" Zeniah glanced at Celeste.
Celeste wiped her mouth. "I'll speak to him after this."
"Good decision," Syron agreed.
After the meal, Celeste left immediately. She rushed to her car and started the engine.
"What a headache," Celeste muttered to herself.
