Leviticus received a call from their father. "How's Leviathan doing?" the voice on the other end inquired.
"They did it," Leviticus responded, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
The Almighty chuckled. "They?"
"Yes. That woman is the reason," Leviticus explained, his tone betraying a hint of satisfaction.
The Almighty's amusement was palpable. "He is eager to find solutions that will benefit both of them."
"Dad, do you favor him that much out of all of us?" Leviticus couldn't help but voice his observation, despite the pain it caused him.
The Almighty's tone conveyed surprise. "What do you mean?"
"Dad, look, I've noticed it for quite a while now. He's your favorite among all of us," Leviticus confessed, his heart heavy with resentment.
The Almighty's response was firm. "I love each of you equally, and that will always be the case. Remember that, Leviticus. It's just that your younger brother's time has come to a crucial peak."
"Yeah, yeah, keep saying those flattering words of yours, Dad," Leviticus muttered before abruptly ending the call.
The Almighty sighed, a trace of sadness in his voice. "Leviticus..."
MEANWHILE, Valentino and Leviathan continued their discussion. Leviathan presented the contract to Valentino, fully aware of the weight of the decision that lay before him.
"I'll give you time to think about it because once you've signed it, there's no turning back," Leviathan cautioned him.
Valentino nodded in understanding. "Thanks, Levi. I think it's time for us to take a break. Celeste will be looking for you as well."
"You're right. We'll see each other when you're ready. I hope you've made your final decision by then," Leviathan replied before swiftly leaving Valentino's office. With Valentino considering his options, He felt a sense of relief knowing that he had someone to support him.
As he settled into his office, Valentino couldn't help but ponder his capabilities. 'What are you, Leviathan? It seems you're someone who can achieve anything without even lifting a finger,' he mused, a wry smile playing on his lips.
Meanwhile, Celeste stood in a statuesque state, gazing up at the sky which threatened rain. Opening her umbrella, she began to walk, her heart heavy with anger and betrayal.
'Why did Dad lie to me?' she wondered, her emotions swirling like the impending storm clouds above.
"WHY!?" Celeste shouted in frustration, hurling her umbrella away. Startled, she turned around to see someone approaching. 'Who's that young man? It feels like I've met him somewhere before.'
The man picked up her umbrella and handed it back to her. "You shouldn't throw your umbrella, miss. It's raining heavily."
"W-Who a-are you?" Celeste asked, her confusion evident.
The man smiled warmly. "Let's just say I'm here to give you a gift."
"H-Huh?" Celeste stammered, her confusion growing.
The man chuckled softly and revealed a necklace adorned with divine magic. "Wear this at all times. Make a wish when you need it the most. Remember, you can only do it once. Lastly, think about it wisely. This necklace holds immense power."
"W-Why would you give me this?" Celeste asked, feeling shaken but still grateful for the unexpected gesture.
The man nodded reassuringly. "Trust me, you'll need it in the future. Take care, miss."
"Lady Celeste!" Matthew's voice called out, interrupting her interaction.
Celeste turned to Matthew. "Oh, Mat! Did I make you wait too long?"
"No, I've just arrived. Are you talking to someone?" Matthew inquired, scanning the area.
Celeste pointed behind her. "It was that man."
"H-Huh? What man? I don't see anyone," Matthew replied, confused.
Celeste turned back, only to find that the man had disappeared. "He disappeared!?" she exclaimed in surprise.
"Come, let's go home before it gets dark and you get soaked in this heavy rain," Matthew suggested, gently guiding Celeste.
Celeste agreed. "Definitely."
Back in Levi's room, Celeste took a cold shower to refresh herself, her mind still lingering on the encounter with the mysterious young man. It was quite intriguing.
After drying and straightening her hair, she took a deep breath and sipped her iced tea. "Mmm. Delicious."
"You smell heavenly, baby," Levi greeted her, wrapping his arms around her from behind.
Celeste felt a warmth spread through her body at his touch. "You're early today."
"Yes, I had a chat with your brother," Levi replied, resting his head on her shoulder.
Celeste affectionately patted his head. "Tired?"
"I'm recharging now," Levi replied, kissing her neck gently.
A soft moan escaped Celeste's lips. "Mhm."
"I'm fully charged," Levi announced with a smile, sitting down and pulling her onto his lap.
"You like teasing me, don't you," Celeste teased back, pinching his cheek.
"I love you," Levi declared, finally saying the words Celeste had longed to hear.
Moved by his words, Celeste kissed him gently on the lips. "I love you too. I can't imagine my life without you now."
"You've changed me for the better, baby," Levi said, before marking her neck.
Celeste held him tightly, feeling the rush of pleasure. "Ah, take it easy," she murmured, biting her lower lip.
"Done," Levi grinned, showing her the mark on her neck.
Celeste pouted playfully at him before noticing he was wearing his glasses. "It suits you," she remarked.
"I thought you'd like it, that's why. My intuition never fails me," Levi replied, lifting her.
Celeste laughed. "What are you doing?"
"Have you ever thought about us having a wedding?" Levi asked, his tone serious.
Celeste paused, giving it some thought. "Soon, but not now. I still need to do something."
Levi looked at her with concern. "What is it about, baby?" he inquired gently.
Opening up, Celeste explained, "I saw Dad's mistress in the graveyard today."
"Oh?" Levi responded calmly, though his eyes betrayed a flicker of interest.
She recounted how she had stumbled upon the revelation on her own, feeling a mix of anger and disappointment at the betrayal. Levi listened attentively, offering comfort even though he was already aware of the situation.
"I think I'll go talk to Dad about it tomorrow. I hope he will explain it properly to me," Celeste resolved, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
"I'm sure he will. Don't worry too much, okay?" Levi reassured her, kissing her forehead gently.
Celeste managed a faint smile. "I hope so."
THE NEXT DAY, Celeste returned home to the mansion. Inquiring with one of the maids about her father's whereabouts, she learned that he was at home.
"Thank you. I'll go see him then," Celeste replied, ready to confront her father.
"Wait. He has a guest. You may need to wait for the meantime," the maid advised, halting her in her tracks.
Celeste arched an eyebrow. "A guest, you say? Was it a woman?"
"Yes, my lady," the maid confirmed.
Celeste chuckled. "Well then, I can wait."
"Would you like snacks while waiting?" the maid offered.
Celeste nodded. "The usual ones, thank you."
"I'll be right back then," the maid said before leaving.
As Celeste waited, the door to Syron's office opened, and the woman she had seen in the graveyard appeared before her. Syron introduced her to Celeste.
"My daughter, Celeste. Meet Ashley Heinnz," Syron said, keeping the introduction brief.
Celeste eyed Ashley from head to toe. "What a surprise to see you, Miss Heinnz."
Ashley offered a faint smile, despite the tension between them. "Likewise."
