With such impressive cooking skills, Sakura made a grand dinner, not for Shinjo and her three daughters, but for Ray himself, as she aims to please Ray at all cost.
But who is Sakura Himura? And what are her intentions towards Ray?
The table is set, and Ray and his new family are ready to devour all those lavish-looking and delectable foods crafted by Sakura herself with the little aid of his father.
Ray is first to seat at the middle chair and is quickly followed by Sakura and Kitsune, who sit beside him.
Of course, Ray is quiet as usual and keep running his thoughts like a train.
I gotta be honest with myself, these foods beat the shit out those airplane meals, and it's been a while since I've had better and tastier foods.
Back in England, when I was in training, all I kept eating were local and exotic meats, oral drugs, vitamins, supplements, canned foods with high protein content, all strictly supervised by the Queen herself.
Fuck, I can still recall the taste of wallabies and crocodiles meats.
I resented the Queen for making me eat those kinds of meats.
While I kept on recalling these experiences, I didn't notice the foods had already been served.
"Itadakimasu."
All of them expressed their gratitude for the food except me.
"Ray?." My father calls me with a disappointed look on his face.
"Yes, Otousan?" I responded.
"Did you forget your own tradition already?"
Arashi scoffed.
I sighed softly.
Suddenly, I felt a warm and soft touch on my right thigh.
I looked down and saw Sakura's hand gently caressing my right thigh.
I tried to move my right thigh to remove her hand, but she kept caressing it.
"Don't worry about it, Shinjo, it not that big of a deal." Sakura protested while gently caressing my thigh.
"No, Sakura you dont-" Shinjo tried to argue but was interrupted by Sakura.
"Hush now, and you seem to forget that he was away from Japan for a long time." Sakura explained annoyingly.
"But Okasan, Otousan's right, he was-" Arashi tried to choose a side but was also interrupted by her mother.
"You, too, shut it! the foods getting colder now." Sakura calmly said while still caressing my thigh.
Arashi was bothered by this and she gave me a contemptuous look.
Ha! I guess she's not being spoiled after all.
After minutes of peaceful eating, Dad broke the silence.
"So, Ray..."
"What kind of work do you do" he asked.
"Where are you based exactly, London?"
Another question.
"Did you make a lot fortune?"
Another question.
"Do you have a girlfriend? Am I expecting a grandson?"
And another question.
"Uhmmm.." I couldn't answer cause I fucking hate when someone bombards me with tons of question.
Shinjo then formed a grin on his face.
"If you haven't, I'll pair you with my close buddy's daughter, she's an angel but she knows how-"
Suddenly, someone bashed the table with their own hand. A hand of a violent, angry, fuming woman.
Sakura exploded.
She exploded not because of Shinji disturbing the tranquility of dinner but because of his intention of pairing Ray to another woman.
Fuming with anger, Sakura couldn't help but to walk out of the house and she was quickly followed by the quiet Kitsune.
Shinjo was deeply stunned and the two remaining daughters as well.
I was stunned also like I don't know what the hell is happening right now.
"Well, that's a first." Reina commented while continously eating the food in front of her.
"Yeah, Okasan isn't usually like that." Arashi agreed with Reina.
Arashi then looked at my father with a dismayed look.
"Otousan, did you do something to make Okasan angry?" Arashi questioned him.
Apparently, my father was still too stunned to speak.
Arashi and Reina gave me a brief stare, then..
"Or...did you fuck up again like the last time?" Arashi asked him again.
"Fuck up? Like the last time? What the hell do they mean?" My mind spoke.
I don't like to mind people's business, but when it comes to my father, even if he's being an annoying and insufferable asshole, I'd like to be part of their business for the sake of my old man cause I care for him.
But for the third time, I'm fucking jetlagged and drained as hell to ask prying questions about their business with my father.
Suddenly, Reina's phone rang.
Reina, without a second thought, answered the phone call because it might be her mother's phone call and she knows her mother doesn't like to be ignored at the other line.
"Yes, Okasan?" Reina asked.
"Hai!."
"....."
"Hai, he's still here."
"..."
"Understood, Okasan, we'll be home shortly."
Reina then ended the call.
"What did Okasan say, onee-san?" Arashi asked.
"Well, imouto, Okasan asked us to go home." Reina answered.
She then looked at me...
"But before we go, I'd like to speak alone with Ray-kun first." She said with a friendly and genuine smile on her face.
Arashi scoffed and showed her disapproval and contemptuous look again.
