Fahad stood up abruptly, positioning himself between Azlan and Shahana as if to shield her.Azlan's brow furrowed, veins throbbing on his forehead."What have you done to my daughter?" Fahad shouted, his voice trembling with rage. Seeing Shahana in such a state made it impossible for him to control his anger. He felt like shooting Azlan right then and there. To him, it seemed certain that Azlan had wronged Shahana, perhaps taking revenge for his sister's death. "I thought you were a responsible man. But I've never seen anyone as vile and disgusting as you. Why did you do this to my daughter? What have you reduced her to?" His blood boiled, his hands shaking with fury.Azlan's eyes flashed with anger, but he remained silent, walking toward Shahana."Shahana, get up. Let's go to the room," Azlan said, trying to lead her away. Fahad's anger flared even more at being ignored. He quickly moved forward, grabbing Azlan's shoulders and pulling him away from Shahana."Didn't you hear me? Stay away from my daughter. You've done enough damage. I won't let you ruin her life any further."Azlan's eyes hardened as he clenched his fists. Shahana sat quietly, lost in her own world, seemingly indifferent to the confrontation. Seeing her father after so many years had shocked her, and she wasn't in a condition to handle so much stress."What will you do?" Azlan asked, his tone calm and controlled."I will take my daughter with me. She's suffered enough and I won't let her endure anymore," Fahad declared decisively."And why do you think I will let you take my wife?" Azlan replied."What do you mean? You two are divorced.""Who told you that we are divorced? We are not divorced, nor do I have any intention of doing so," Azlan stated, moving toward Shahana again.Fahad blocked his way once more. "Don't lie to me, boy. Haya told me that—""She lied to you," Azlan cut him off. "After all, what else can she do but lie? Sometimes I seriously doubt if she is Shahana's real mother. Would a real mother treat her own child like that? Uncle, she didn't just lie to you; she lied to me. She told me Shahana wanted a divorce while she was lying in the hospital in a terrible condition. She turned Shahana against me, separating us when Shahana needed me the most. For two years, Shahana was with her, but she neglected her own daughter. Shahana lived worse than the servants in our house. Despite knowing the rest of the family hated her, she did nothing for her. She knew Shahana was innocent, yet she remained silent.""But why would she do that?" Fahad protested, his voice low. After all, Haya was Shahana's mother. How could a mother treat her own child like that?"It would be better if you asked her yourself.""Whatever the case may be, look, Azlan, I am here now. And I will take my daughter with me. She doesn't need any of you anymore. It would be better if you divorced her. I know you have remarried. And somehow, you are also responsible for my daughter ending up in this state. Therefore, it would be better if you both separated," Fahad said firmly. He felt that taking Shahana with him to Turkey was the best solution. His opinion of Azlan had changed long ago when he remarried."And who are you to make that decision?" Azlan's voice rose in anger."I am her father," Fahad retorted.Azlan smirked sarcastically. "Yes, a father who has been absent from her life for so many years. And now suddenly you come and claim your rights as a father. If I am to blame for Shahana's condition, you are equally responsible. You left your daughter with a woman whom you knew never cared for anyone except herself. You've been making excuses and running away from your responsibilities all this time."Azlan's words hit Fahad hard. "You dare accuse me?" Fahad raised a finger towards him, and Azlan's smile deepened."What happened, uncle? Did my words hurt you? I apologize. But, after all, not everyone can handle the truth.""What truth? I was helpless. At first, I didn't have the means to take Shahana with me, and when I did, Shahana herself didn't want to come," Fahad tried to maintain his dignity. He knew he had made mistakes, been irresponsible with Shahana, but he lacked the courage to admit it."I was also helpless. We were all helpless in our own ways. But if I'm honest, none of us were truly helpless. We were all just protecting our own images, and Shahana paid the price for it.""Say what you will, I've decided Shahana will divorce you and come with me. I won't let her stay with a man like you."Azlan clenched his fists, trying to keep his composure. His voice was low but firm. "You don't get to make that decision for her. Shahana is my wife, and only she can decide what she wants."Fahad's eyes blazed with fury. "She's my daughter! And I will do whatever it takes to protect her from you.""Protect her?" Azlan's voice was filled with disbelief. "Where were you all these years when she needed protection the most? Now suddenly you want to play the role of a caring father?"Fahad stepped closer, his face inches from Azlan's. "If you really cared about her, you wouldn't have put her in this situation."They kept accusing each other, both claiming rights over Shahana, making decisions about her fate without considering that she was standing right there."Please, stop it, both of you."Suddenly, they heard Shahana shouting. Both turned to look at her simultaneously."For God's sake, stop making a spectacle of my life. I beg you both, please." Shahana folded her hands in front of them, crying bitterly. "Why can't you both leave me alone? Just as you've been detached from my life before, stay away now too. Please, leave me alone."Azlan lowered his gaze, guilt and regret weighing heavily on him. He knew he was responsible for causing her pain.Fahad, too, couldn't meet his daughter's eyes. The weight of his failure as a father was crushing, and he knew this regret would haunt him forever.Without another word, Shahana walked toward her room. But then she felt dizzy and lost her balance. She might have fallen, but Azlan swiftly caught her.Shahana clung to him tightly, needing his support."Are you okay?" Azlan asked anxiously, his eyes filled with concern, love, and a deep longing for Shahana. As Shahana regained some composure, she tried to step back from Azlan. But he didn't let go of her arm. His left hand was firmly wrapped around her shoulder."Please, let me take you to the room. You're not well," Azlan said softly, extending his right hand to her.Reluctantly, she took Azlan's hand, feeling very weak. She knew she couldn't reach the room without his help.As Azlan carefully led her to the room, Fahad watched them in silence.---------Meanwhile, Haya was pacing nervously in her room. She kept trying Fahad's number, but his phone was off. Anxiously rubbing her forehead, she worried about whether he had reached Shahana in time. She wanted them to take Shahana away before Azlan could get to her. She didn't want Shahana to stay in this house any longer. Just then, Towsif entered the room.Unable to hold back her mounting anxiety, she hurried over and seized his hand, her grip firm and desperate."Towsif, have you spoken to Azlan? Why is he interfering in Shahana's matters? Isn't he planning to divorce her? And now Fahad has come. He will take Shahana with him," Haya said, her voice trembling with frustration."Haya, Shahana is in the hospital. Her condition is quite critical. You should be worried about her. But it seems you have no concern for your own daughter," fe removed Haya's hand and said. Towsif's tone was sharp. What has come to light today he couldn't ignore. He had always noticed her abnormal attitude towards Shahana. He always thought it was his misunderstanding. After all, Haya are her real mother. And who can love a child more than his own mother? But Towsif had forgotten that Haya was also human. And humans can sometimes cross any limits for their own benefit.Hearing Towsif's words, Haya was taken aback."I am worried about her, Towsif. If Shahana leaves this house, she can live a better life. Why can't you understand what I am saying? Azlan should set her free from this suffocating relationship. Why is he after my daughter? Just a few days ago, he was ready to divorce her."Haya was speaking in her own flow when Towsif suddenly said, "Shahana is going to become a mother."The color drained from Haya's face. She was stunned for a moment. Then, with disbelief, she said, "What?""Yes. Do you still want Azlan to leave Shahana?" Towsif asked seriously. Haya just stared at him and then quietly sat on the bed.Even now, Haya felt no guilt for any of her actions. She still wanted Shahana to leave this home forever. She was still only thinking about herself.----------Meanwhile, with a gentle arm around Shahana, Azlan led her to the room. She was feeling dizzy, and sharp pains were shooting through her head. Suddenly, she felt a strong wave of nausea."Azlan!" The word tore from her throat. He was beside her in an instant, his voice laced with worry. "What is it? Are you alright?"Shahana pointed weakly towards the bathroom.Azlan guided her there. As soon as she reached the wash basin, her stomach lurched again, and she vomited.Supporting her, Azlan gently rubbed her back. After vomiting, Shahana felt a bit better. She splashed water on her face and washed her mouth. Leaning on Azlan for support, she made her way back to the bed. She closed her eyes and leaned against the headboard, feeling incredibly weak. Before coming home, Azlan had asked the servant to pack some food. He took a container out of his bag and poured corn soup into a bowl."Drink the soup," Azlan handed her the bowl, and she took it without a word, beginning to drink in complete silence. If it weren't for the baby, she would never have accepted his help. She had lost her child once and didn't have the strength to endure that pain again. It didn't matter to her that this child was a result of moments of weakness; she was simply grateful that Allah had blessed her with His ni'mah once more.Fahad had followed them into the room. He sat beside Shahana, deeply concerned by her condition. First, her incoherent talk, and now her sudden vomiting. He was worried she might be seriously ill.Azlan seemed to have read the worry on his face."Congratulations. You are going to be a grandfather."He dropped a bombshell on Fahad.----------Hello Readers,Are you enjoying the story? Drop some reviews.
