Evelyn looked at Daemon educating his son, and smiled. She stood up, took the plates from the table, and started walking toward the kitchen.
Daemon, seeing that, also stopped up and took what Evelyn failed to take on her first trip to tail behind her.
Meanwhile, Jason ran to the television and started looking for something of interest. The sight made Daemon, who was beside Evelyn about to help her with the dishes, raised an eyebrow. He was about to speak, when his phone made a sound.
It was a notification, one indicating that he just received an email. Seeing the name of the sender, he turned to ask Evelyn:
"Can I borrow your computer?"
"Sure. It is in the bedroom, on the bedside table."
His answer came with a smile:
"Thanks."
When he came back to the living room and settled down with the old model laptop, he first looked at it in silence, before he swept a glance over Evelyn from the corner of his eyes.
