When Dinaia regained her wits, she opened her mouth in shock, and she raised her hand, as if to stop Evelyn.
"Stop. You…"
Unfortunately, she also seemed afraid of making a scene, holding onto the last shred of hope that Evelyn would spare her.
The scene turned quite comical, with her facing the back of Evelyn while opening and closing her mouth in hesitation.
Evelyn almost laughed, but she didn't turn around nor stop. She only left her beautiful back to her friend, and walked elegantly until she came to a stop beside Ryan. It was then that she turned, and playfully looked at Dinaia, making the latter suppress a groan of frustration, but be unable to produce any anger at the betrayal.
After all, her weak point was in the grasp of the enemy.
Evelyn let Dinaia see the twinkle of amusement in her eyes, before she turned to Ryan who was smiling at the antics of the both of them.
"Don't mind me. You can continue."
