"Let me help you."
Seeing that Evelyn was almost done cooking, Dinaia stood up and took off her jacket which she threw to let it rest beside her handbag. She was wearing a thin camisole below. She washed her hands and took out the plates.
As she moved to set the table, she asked Evelyn:
"Where is Jason? Is he still sleeping?"
Evelyn scoffed jokingly:
"Do you think everyone is like you?"
Dinaia smiled, unabashed at coming here so early in the morning. Instead, she retorted:
"I knew you would already be up."
The brunette didn't believe those words at all. She rolled her eyes:
"I bet you would have woken me up even if I had been asleep. I regret giving you a set of my keys."
Dinaia smoothened the tablecloth and straightened her back, a mischievous smile on her lips:
"Too late already. It is you and I till death do us apart. Unless you change your locks."
