Chapter 76 - Relevation

Each step represented death coming closer and when finally, Icarus was close enough blood vessels pinning him on the wall moved on their own as if welcoming their king and descendent down with his body.

Some touched the ground to hold him still above ground and others began to surround him and then compress him until he had no choice but to grasp his own legs and push his head against his knees.

Through gaps in blood vessels, he observed as Icarus brought the shell closer, and then as he let it fall it expanded and absorbed him inside. Then there was just crimson sea and blood vessels surrounding him pushing him from all sides as if blood vessels wanted to turn him into nothing but meatball.

Having his body compressed in such a way was in no way a pleasurable experience but Hildebrant endured with his mind wandering in an unknown space.

He was prepared to sleep but then searing pain woke him up.

His blood boiled as blood vessels began to push deeper into his body and his flesh began to explode on its own. What was even worse were whispers in the back of his mind he always endured, their voice became cleaner and cleaner.

From the outside world that was out of the shell scream escaped.

Unhuman and desperate scream.

It belonged to Icarus but also did his right hand that in a moment turned crimson and various white eyes turned to look at him and pushed against his iris. They gazed at him from such a distance he no longer knew what was real and what was not.

Pain, maddening whisper, and even the feeling of something in him being reshaped made him want to scream and scratch his face in frustration but blood vessels surrounding him did not allow it.

They did not allow him to move, talk, or even breathe.

Pushing themselves and surrounding him they closed his mouth, cowered his eyes, and pushed themselves into his flesh that moment later exploded destroying blood vessels that tried to enter his body with his own flesh.

It was as if his own being refused to let anything taint its perfect surface.

Blood seeped out, then was filled with blood vessels and then his blood seeped out again and again.

Nothing but pain could be felt and nothing, but suffering could remain in his head.

This was the first time he felt pain worse than when he was burned alive, and its continuity did not help him calm down. His fingers burrowed into his skin but even they began to boil after his own boiling blood touched his skin.

His entire being wanted nothing more than to escape this place, to be free, and in the end, some god must hear his prayer.

Hearing a crack, water splashed down and blood vessels with surrounded him lost all strength and fell on the floor releasing him in the process.

Hildebrant took a deep breath, but no voice came out and when he looked around and touched his neck, he found out the reason.

His skin was gone, his flesh falling on the ground and cowering it to the point even the red vessel began to be submerged.

But it was not the end of its power as everywhere it went blood would boil taking everything it touched with it. The entire room was destroyed, rubbles of the table were already slowly melting in boiling blood, and any material left was also absorbed by it, refined to be a weapon he had no idea his blood could become.

In this harrowing space, only one being remained kneeling while blood dripped down its face.

"Why?"

Icarus held his head cowered in a crack and kept looking into the boiling blood surface. It looked like he was weeping as blood and crimson light pushed themselves through his finger and dripped down into boiling blood that began to boil even more wildly under his feet.

"I tried everything so why?!"

He said his voice becoming more bestial and maddening with each word. Holding light with his hand it still made its way beyond his fingers and even his body began to tremble and release a slight red light that looked like it came from his very being.

"I was supposed to be Ultimate, the harbinger of a new era so why?!"

With raged breath, even more blood pushed itself out from his face and combined with boiling blood under him. Red smoke ascended and surrounded his body as his legs finally began to melt and his skin began to turn into blood.

Uncowering his head he finally looked up and looked at Hildebrant who stared at his cracked face and blood that began to turn into blood vessels that tried to close them and kept them from widening even more.

Fury could be observed from the way Icarus moved, and that fury was fully focused on Hildebrant whose skin already began to regenerate under the power of his own blood.

"It's your fault! I treasured you and all you did was stand in my way! I just wanted both of us to be happy, why can't you understand it?!"

Before he even knew Icarus stood up and appeared before him.

Grasping his neck, he threw him onto the floor and griped his neck tightly and as boiling blood touched his skin he began to strangle him with his own hands. Icarus looked at him with furry and Hildebrant tried to push him away, but his iron grip did not weaken even in slightness.

Air left Hildebrant's lugs and panic flooded Hildebrant body as blood vessels on Icarus's face also melted and from crack light and blood began to fall on his twitching head.

At that moment his right hand which again looked normal wanted to try to gather some flames, but his hand moved on its own and pushed herself into boiling blood. There was terror in Hildebrant eyes as he observed Icarus looking at him without uncontrollable anger.

Hildebrant other functioning hand also tried to push Icarus's hands away but even while holding them he was unable to move them even for an inch.

Shivering he observed Icarus's uncaring actions and then blood vessels began to grow on his face.
