The fastest ship in the world, Black Falcon
After leaving the kingdom of Arabasta, I followed the natural logpose. My goal was the sky Island skypiya. There were several reasons for my visit. First of I wanted to check if the lightning logia, the Rumble Rumble devil fruit is in the sky Island. I have already killed it's previous user. So there is a high possibility that it will end up somewhere in the sky Island. Although I can't eat another devil fruit myself, collecting it in advance will be very beneficial. It is not like I want to mess with canon. But it is just a powerful devil fruit, that I cannot ignore. The second reason for me to go to the sky Island is to explore the ruins of the golden city. Enel was supposed to get the blueprint of his flying ship from the ruins of the golden city. It was just a speculation but I wanted a good ship for myself. Even though I don't need the blueprint to make a ship, I wanted to find anything if possible.
The third reason was the secret of the shells found in the sky Island. With the help of those shells, Ussop has able to made the climatact. I don't want to ignore of those shells. I have a major plan, that will need it was shells to succeed.
I want to make a ship that can also fly. And by flying I don't mean like the thousand Sunny. And for now in a world where engines and fuels are super rare let alone airplanes, those shells will be very helpful in making a flying ship. I was no aeronautics engineer. But still I have some basic knowledge about aerodynamics and how exactly an aeroplane works from the elective physics I had taken during my college days.
Combining it with the 'shell technology' won't be hard as long as I understand the mechanisms of a shell and how it works.
With these major reasons, I started to sail towards the sky Island. I was travelling in the real world to test my new skills as a navigator. Unfortunately my time and effort spent on studying paid off.
It was easier than before. I didn't got lost many times as before and handling the weather also became easy.
During the time of my travel I didn't encountered much trouble except for a few pirate crews. I didn't find even a single Marine ship.
While stopping in every Island, it took me around twenty days to reach the spot where the log pose was pointing exactly towards the sky.
It was the time of evening. The sun was about to set. The faint outline of the full moon is already visible in the sky. I anchored my ship in the middle of the ocean and went into my shadow world to catch some food.
I used moon walk to go above. It took me 20 minutes of constant sky hopping to reach the clouds of the sky Island. The clouds were different from normal clouds. I understood why it was called the white sea. The water particles were so dence that it could easily take the load of a ship.
At first, upon reaching the lands, I decided to take on my zoan form and stay away from people.
The first thing that I noticed was my shadow world was not allowing me to teleport inside it. I couldn't find a particular reason for it. I could use my devil fruit ability perfectly fine except from teleportation. After a long time of experimenting, I gave up on the matter.
My first goal was to find the Rumble Rumble devil fruit. I search for it in the original skyland Island a long with the floating part of Jaya Island. It took me two whole months to find the fruit casually lying in a dungeon in the ruins of the golden city. Usually inhabitants of the island never came there in the first place. So no one noticed it.
I felt like an idiot for not searching the ruins first. But who would have known that one of the most powerful logia type devil fruit would be lying here in the middle of a dungeon.
After storing it in my shadow space I also took a huge amount of gold with me. Gold was lying around like rocks. Obviously the inhabitants of the sky Island won't value it that much. But a broke person like me would definitely value them.
After achieving my first goal I moved for my second goal. The entire ruins of the golden city. But I didn't found anything. So I moved towards the rest of the sky Island. After one more month of searching, I finally found a small piece of land that has been separated from the original land of the golden city in the other side of the sky Island. That small piece of land was burried deep inside the original land. So in my first search I had missed it. In the ruins of that land, I finally found the blue prints of many flying ships including the one used by Enel.
Finally after going through all of the blueprints, I decided to take the fastest of them all, the "Black Falcon".
After my second goal was completed, I decided to stay in my cat form and search for the place where the Skypians harvests the shells and how it works.
For them I was an unlucky blue sea creature, who has come up here by the knock up stream. But due to the unapproachable aura around me, no one ever approached me. Most of the Skypians have natural affinity towards observation haki. So the sensed that I am dangerous.
Instead of asking locals, observing from distance how they harvested and used the sea shells, gave me a deeper understanding of it's inner work. Most of the shells, like the jet shells, air shells, counter shells shock shells and fire shells were used without much processing. There is a particular span of time till which a shell can work. After that they will have to replace the shell.
Usually the smaller shells lasted for three to five years while the larger shells lasted for thirty to forty years.
Before leaving the sky Island I made an eternal pose of the island and stole many large and small shells.
Now the plan for a flying ship was only a few steps away.
And one of the major steps was a perfect type of wood. The adam wood.
