Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Above the sky of Jelro city, a purple smoke suddenly appeared, quickly spreading out and covering the sky.

A pressure so heavy that it's hard to describe fell on everyone. Making all the residents in the city shiver. The entire city was covered by a terrible pressure.

"What the hell happened?!"

The city's mayor was also awakened from his sleep by the feeling of a large rock pressing down on his chest. He tried to call out his subordinates, but their condition was no better than his at the moment.

Some people even collapsed directly on the floor. The face turned haggard at a speed that could be seen with the naked eye.

"We done!"

These words appeared in Mayor Jelro's heart. His whole body was as cold as if he had been thrown into an ice lake.

In this world, killing people, killing many people, killing an entire city or even a country is not a rare thing.

Mainly encountering individuals or forces inclined to the "evil side" such as witches or demons. If the opponent is too powerful, there will be no chance of survival.

Although Jelro City is part of the territory of the Akazac Empire, it is only a small city located in a remote area, and even if all the people here perish, the empire will not care.

Partly because the empire's territory is so large, partly because there are many powerful forces in the empire. Exist as uncrowned kings in their territories.

The imperial family is perhaps the strongest, but their dominance is not absolute.

"Mayor… what do we do now?"

A guard asked while still trembling in fear.

"How the hell do I know!"

The mayor roared, his heart filled with panic.

At this moment, a figure descended from above the purple mist.

It's Brenna.

It was clear that what she stepped on was just empty space, but Brenna could easily walk on it as if she were walking on the ground.

Because of the arrival of the Witch of Decay. Many people in close range fell to the ground, their entire bodies quickly becoming thinner, as if the life had been sucked out of them.

Everyone wanted to run away, but the aura emitted from a high-level witch made them feel like they were carrying a large rock on their backs, and even if they wanted to run away, they couldn't.

"It's… that's…"

"Demigod level being..."

Mayor Jelro stiffened like a sculpture.

How could there be a Demigod in this small city?

Any Demigod can be considered the leading strength of an organization or a force. Even if they are Associations, noble families, lords or royalty.

If a Demigod wanted to destroy Jelro city, he wouldn't even need to handle it himself. Just one command is enough to summon an entire army to do it.

Thinking of this, another opinion appeared in Mayor Jelro's mind.

What if that Demigod hadn't come here to destroy this city? This person most likely came here for another purpose.

This made him both scared and curious.

After all, what situation could cause a Demigod to appear in person?

Brenna walked in the vacuum, step by step approaching Noir's store, completely ignoring the people around her.

In front of her was the store "Guidance of TheTruth." The ink on the glass door had not even dried yet.

"The Truth? Ridiculous."

Brenna looked at this ordinary shop with utter contempt.

Even though she is a Demigod, just one step away from becoming God level, Brenna does not dare to call herself the truth, yet in this middle of nowhere, there is someone who dares to do so?

"Do you think you can scare me with just a few cheap tricks like this? Foolish!"

Brenna stepped inside, just now she had traced Alva's mana trail that ended in front of this store.

As soon as she stepped inside, Brenna saw a young man with silver gray hair sitting on a chair, smiling at her.

From the outside, the other person looked like a normal person. Brenna's senses did not detect any amount of mana existing around this young person. But the strange thing is, the witch can't see through anything more.

"Hand over that knight, I will spare you a way to live."

The Witch of Decay spoke arrogantly, looking at Noir like she was witnessing a bug.

Faced with such an attitude, the smile on Noir's face remained unchanged. As a business person, having to deal with all different types of customers can be said to be just a daily job.

Besides, this woman is much richer than Alva, and Noir is still very happy inside.

[Name]: Brenna…

[Power]: 9936 (Demigod level)

[Past]:...

[Present]:...

[Future]:...

After viewing Brenna's information, Noir's mind suddenly appeared with a plan to rob the other person.

This is truly a big fish, carrying a lot of valuable things on it.

However, ensuring the store's honor is still the number one priority. So Noir can only abandon that plan.

"Tell me, where is that knight hiding?!"

Brenna spoke loudly once more. But in her tone there was a little less arrogance and a little more nervousness. Right at that moment, when her eyes and Noir's eyes looked straight at each other, Brenna suddenly felt an extremely dangerous feeling, to the point that she almost couldn't control herself and turned away and run.

As a Demigod-level witch, Brenna's senses and feelings are no longer just a normal form. The sensitivity of the senses is extremely accurate, not something baseless.

Besides, Brenna, ever since she set foot here, has always been surrounded by a strange feeling that she cannot describe. Leading her to act more carefully than before.

"Lady Brenna, please sit down and talk first."

Noir reached towards the chair on the opposite side of him.

Brenna remained standing in place, speaking coldly.

"I'm asking you where that knight is! If you're smart, hand him over here, otherwise don't blame me for being cruel!"

"Oh, do you know what this store does?"

Noir smiled and said.

"We sell information, if you want to know someone's location, you should buy that information from us."

"However, I advise you to make a transaction, not come here to rob."

"Otherwise… I'm sorry…"

If you see rich people robbing you, the store's reputation will fall to the bottom. But if that person causes trouble first...

Brenna wasn't a gentle person, that's for sure, and she certainly wasn't a shy person either.

But that fleeting sense of danger in that moment almost strangled the witch's heart. It made even the Witch of Decay shiver.
