Bella's POV
The next day, I woke up feeling exhausted, having barely slept due to the whirlwind of events that had transpired in less than 24 hours. From being single to becoming engaged to my long-time crush, Ace, it all seemed surreal. I couldn't help but wonder what my younger self would think if she knew I'd be marrying the infamous Ace Blank in just a month.
My parents had bought the lie that Ace and I had concocted - that we met at a party, went on a date, and fell deeply in love. We decided to keep our relationship a secret, and Ace suggested we not reveal the truth to our friends and family. Our fabricated story was simple yet convincing.
Before dinner with his parents, Ace and I agreed to meet at his place since I still resided with my parents. My parents were overjoyed and grateful for Ace's kindness in helping my dad. When the doorbell rang, my dad answered, revealing Ace dressed in casual attire, looking even more handsome than before.
My dad welcomed him warmly, offering a drink, and expressed his gratitude for Ace's assistance. "Ace, my boy, I'm really grateful for all you've done for me and my family. I know it wasn't your responsibility to help, but you did, and I'm thankful. I feel lucky to have you as my son-in-law." I glanced away, feeling a bit shy, and Ace noticed, flashing a charming smile.
"Thank you, sir," Ace replied. "But I'm the lucky one to have been blessed with an amazing woman like your daughter. I'm the grateful one here." His gaze met mine, and for a moment, I wondered if he genuinely meant those words or was just putting on an act for my parents' benefit.
After exchanging pleasantries, Ace and I bid my parents farewell and headed to his car. We had gotten to his house which was a lovely but simple mansion, at his home we engaged in lighthearted conversations about our favorite songs, games, foods, colors, and movies. His enthusiasm was infectious, making me feel at ease.
Upon arriving at his majestic mansion, I was awestruck. "Wow, this is... incredible!" I exclaimed. Ace chuckled, noticing my wonder. "It's just a house," he teased. But I couldn't help feeling a pang of jealousy, wondering how many other women he had brought here before me.
Inside, his father welcomed us warmly, his eyes brimming with tears. "Wow, son, she's stunning! I'm so happy for you." Ace laughed, embracing his dad. "Dad, stop embarrassing me! Just say hi to her, okay?" His father hugged me tightly, saying, "It's lovely to finally meet you, my dear. I've heard so much about you from my son,and my wife in the kitchen making dinner by her self she does that when she's very excited to meet someone, I hope you enjoy her cooking"
I Greeted him back and thanked him , we then went inside the house .
As we entered the elegantly designed house, I was struck by its beauty.the house was filled with some workers which made it even more adorable that Ace mum was actually cooking just for me.
After few minutes of waiting his mum had finished making the dinner and had asked the maids to serve us she then joined us after cleaning up herself , Ace's mother, a stunning woman with long hair, greeted us with a warm smile.she really looked like all those fairy tales.
Ace had stood up to meet his mum and she said "O God my dear you look a little bit tiny have you been eating well, I thought you ace to be eating more, jeez " Ace hugged his mum and said
"Mummy come on I've been eating you always just think I'm not " she then said
"Well you never look like you are "
She then pinched his cheeks and turned to me and her smile increased "Oh, my goodness! You look even lovelier in person, Ace's honey! Why did you hide her from us?" She hugged me tightly, saying, "Thank you, dear. Call me Mum, okay? You're my daughter now."
We shared a delightful dinner filled with laughter and stories, mostly about Ace's embarrassing moments. Afterward, I invited them to dinner at my house, and they graciously accepted. His parents were so nice and gentle, some new papers made it look like Ace father was an emotionless man in the business world which after meeting him I found it hard to believe, Ace mum had asked me for my number because she would love to go shopping with me soon , Ace and I had said goodbye to his parents and left.
During the drive home, I playfully teased Ace about his embarrassing stories, and he blushed, looking adorable. "Tonight was fun," he said, turning serious. "How about I take you on a real date? How does that sound?" I agreed, and he smiled, walking me to my doorstep.
"Good night," he whispered, his eyes sparkling. I smiled, feeling excited for our upcoming date. Today had been wonderful, and tomorrow promised to be even sweeter.
