Chapter 7 - FIRST DATE

BELLA POV

As I stood in front of my mirror, I couldn't help but admire my outfit. I had chosen a dark blue crop top and a pair of black jeans with my Nike sneakers, topped with a jacket. Ace had told me to dress simple, saying we were just doing something fun on the date. I was okay with that, as I hardly went on any dinner dates or dates in general. I didn't have many dinner gowns to choose from.

I had done my hair and applied a little makeup. When I was done, I stood by my mirror and looked carefully at myself. A few times, I had made up excuses to tell Ace and cancel our date, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. So, when my phone rang, I was brought back to reality. It was a call from Ace, telling me he was outside. I quickly ended the call and went downstairs. Luckily, my parents weren't home, so I didn't have to explain anything. My parents were busy at the office, trying to rebuild and fix things up since Ace had already cleared all the debt my dad owed. Plus, he had invested in my dad's company, and the company was actually doing well, but my parents still needed to work hard to keep it running.

I got outside, and there he stood. He looked even more handsome than the last time we met. Was this man really going to be my husband? I felt bad at first for lying to everyone, and him even helping out my family, just because he needed a wife. Fate or no fate, I still couldn't accept the fact that we were supposed to marry. Okay, he also had a crush on me back then, but just by meeting someone once doesn't mean we're actually capable of getting married. Well, this really could work, or will it end in tears? I was afraid, scared even. My fears had almost gotten the best of me.

That was when Ace touched my hands and said, "Are you okay? You've been standing there for a minute. It looked like you were about to cry." He asked, and I was brought back to reality again. "I'm okay," I replied. "It's all just new to me. I'm sorry." He said, "You don't have to say sorry. I understand. You may not believe me, but it's actually my first date." I was surprised and still thought he was just joking I mean even I have gone on a few dates ok very few dates, but I let it go.

Ace opened the front seat for me, and I got in. He also got in the car, telling me that his mom was already planning the engagement party and that she would love it if my mom could join her too. I had told my parents about my engagement party when my besties were over last night. My mom was very excited and stressed that she felt it wasn't enough time, but I had reassured her that Ace's mom would handle it all well, so she didn't really stress about it anymore. When Ace told me his mom would love for my mom to join her in the planning, I said yes, and he forwarded my mom's number to his.

The drive was a three-hour drive, so we just talked about things like college and the schools we had attended. I went to one of the best schools in the state, and he went to one of the best schools in the world. We also talked about our favorite songs, foods, and colors. At first, Ace didn't tell me his favorite color, so he asked me to guess, which I did, and I said green and I was correct as always . I said to Ace, "Thank you, thank you, I'm just amazing. No need to blush." He just laughed even more, and we continued to talk.

Finally, we had arrived at an amusement park. I couldn't recognize it until I saw the signboard, which read "Willy's Will Amusement Park." This was the park I had gone to every single time I had a free time. I would even hide out when I didn't want to go home, and I sometimes got lost, but I didn't care. But when I got even older and went to college, I never did return because I had other things on my mind. Now, at the back of my mind, I had wanted to go and visit the park because I had so many memories here.

We got out of the car, and I couldn't stop smiling. Everything still looked the same, neat and still in order. The only problem was that no one was there. My smile dropped, and I turned to Ace and said, "Ace, I think the park is closed." He nodded yes, then said, "It's closed down just for today. I didn't want anyone to disturb our date." He smirked at me, and God, his smirk had me blushing hard. I was stunned by what he said, but I wasn't that surprised. He was really that rich, so I didn't mind. He took my hand and said to me, "I wanted our first date to be something we both would never forget, and seeing you smile like this, I'll never forget." I stood there, amazed by his words, and then I asked him, "But how did you know I loved this place?" He looked at me and said with a very low tone, "I had my private investigator find information about you." I looked shocked, "You did what?" He just laughed and said, "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I asked your dad about a place that you loved going to when you were younger, and he told me." We just laughed it off, and then I told him, "Well, since this is my own field, I'll be your tour guide. Follow me, sir." And with that, I dragged him with me.

First, we went on a walk, and I showed him around. Some snack stands were open, and Ace got me some snacks. The ice cream was my favorite. Then we entered the bumper cars and had a race, and he won. But I went again, and I think he let me win this time, but still, I won. Next, we went on the Ferris wheel, then to the rollercoaster, which was a slow ride but peaceful, and then lastly to the water slides. We both changed first and then went down the slide into the pool. We played games, and then we went back to get dressed.

It was only when I was dressed that I realized we had spent a lot of time. It was already 10 pm, and it just felt like 20 minutes had been spent in the park. After changing back into our normal clothes, Ace said he had one more surprise for me, so we left the park and he started driving to his home.

When we finally got there, he took me inside, and when he took my hands, he said, "Okay, so I made us dinner to complete our date." Then I saw the dinner he had prepared, and I smiled and said, "But you really didn't have to do all this." He said, "Well, I did, if it meant I got to see you smile like that. I'm fulfilled." Then he came close to me and looked at my eyes he was only a few inches away,he gorgeous face was soo stunning , then he looked at my lips, and licked his. I didn't realize I was still looking at his lips, and then he came even closer to my lips, and I closed my eyes, expecting a kiss, but it never came. Then he said, "I already told you I wasn't going to kiss you without your permission." What? But I closed my eyes; wasn't that enough of a sign that I was giving him permission? What a tease.

He then went to heat up the meal and served me. We ate, and I made jokes about how he ordered food from a restaurant. He said he could show me next time that it was really him. We just laughed at it all . The night quickly came to an end, and he dropped me off at my house. But before I came out of his car, he asked me, "Hope you enjoyed our date?" I didn't respond. I just came closer to him, and as I was about to respond, I kissed him. He was surprised, even I was surprised, but he kissed me even more, and I slowly pulled away. He was about to say something, but then I said good night and ran out of his car into my house, not giving him the chance to say anything.

At home, I was a blushing mess. That night, I couldn't stop thinking about the kiss. It was my first kiss. Oh my God, what have I done?.
