Chapter 36: Just some pests
Following breakfast the entire group of us decided to head on towards a tailor's place that I was visiting to get my suit.
Normally I was supposed to do this with Blair but since I was now sort of avoiding her I decided it was smarter for me to go on my own, to a place that Buzz highly recommended.
How did a toy know about a suit shop? I don't know, but after Buzz was right about something I decided to finally give him a chance.
"So you're free for the whole day?" I questioned Naruto as we got off of our lift inside of the hotel, entering the lobby.
"Well, I guess. Since Shikamaru said we were expanding slightly too quickly."
"How about you Hinata, you mentioned something about studying modern medicine with Sakura?" I questioned the Hyuga.
"Yes, it has been an interesting time for me, but as we reached the advanced field I was unable to keep up with Sakura so I decided to join Naruto for a while." She explained.
I nodded at her explanation, since I couldn't really remember Hinata being a Iryoninja in the anime too well.
"There are you." I heard a voice call out to me as soon as I entered the lobby of the hotel.
It was Thea Queen and this time she was wearing skinny jeans with black boots and a red coat around her.
She had a calm smile on her face in contrast to her bloodlusted face that I saw before during our fight against Savage.
"I have been waiting for you." She told me, as she walked up to me confidently and stood right in front of me, barely leaving any space for me to move around comfortably in.
"Right…hi." I greeted her as well.
I turned to my right to see Naruto frowning a little as he looked at Thea which made me confirm my suspicions.
It seems like she wasn't someone who was good willed, since Naruto could inherently sense if someone was a good person or not.
Thea first stared at my face from right in front of me for a while, before she suddenly ducked and then faced Tom.
Tom, who was at first just texting someone on his phone, looked up to see Thea analyzing him thoroughly.
"Such an interesting cat, how the hell did you take that gun out of thin air, and where did you learn to shoot it so accurately?" Thea questioned.
Tom began to sweat a little at those questions since he didn't really know how to answer.
"Tom is a cat that is different from ordinary." I told her, as I shielded him a little.
"Yeah, let's say that." Thea replied as she stood up again and then stared at me.
"Blair told me you didn't end up going back to her place to stay, so I had to track you down, and look where I found you." She said, as she motioned around the lobby. "In a hotel of all places."
"I had a lot on my mind."
"I can tell that much." Thea Queen said with some suspicion lingering in her tone as she turned towards Naruto and Hinata.
"And you are?"
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki." Naruto greeted out of habit as he raised his hand to shake Thea's hand.
"Thea Queen." Thea replied, while having her hands inside of her pocket and not shaking Narutos.
He stood there awkwardly for a bit before retracting his hand.
"So why are you hanging out with anime cosplayers?" Thea questioned me as she turned towards me.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." I told her honestly.
How was I supposed to tell someone that these guys were not cosplayers but the real deal? It was not like someone was about to believe me.
"So, you going back to Blairs?" She questioned me.
"Just…let her know that I will meet her later."
"What? And why is that?" Thea questioned in confusion.
"It's just…I heard some things about her from one of her friends named Dan and I just need to wrap my head around what he had said."
"Dan Humphrey? If that guy told you things I would take it with a pinch of salt, he likes to exaggerate things since he hates all of us." Thea said.
"He told me things about how Blair bullied his sister, and how she made him leave the entire city since she didn't like her. And something about Blair having a weird history with a guy named Chuck Bass." I told her a little of what Dan had told me.
"Look, Blair did behave like an asshole in highschool, hell I would know she used to annoy me too. But I would be lying if I said she hasn't changed. And if anyone is worth it to talk things through with, it is Blair." Thea told me.
I nodded at that slightly, as Hinata keeped Tom occupied. The cat was about to panic from what Thea said but was now trying to swat Hinata's hands.
Thea then handed me a card for a location of our location for the first dance recital.
"Go to this place, at 4pm, that is when the recital starts. See you there." She told me as she was about to walk away.
"By the way Thea, is it possible if these friends of mine can join the dance?" I asked for Naruto and Hinata.
"It should be fine, since Blair's mom is organizing…can you dance?" She asked Hinata.
"I am sure we can learn quickly." Hinata told her honestly.
After all, how hard would it be for trained Ninja to learn some dance moves?
"Alright then." Thea said, as she walked away from us to wherever she had come from.
I couldn't help but be slightly impressed by her confidence, but I was able to snap out of it fairly quickly when I remembered how she acted yesterday.
"Naruto, what do you think about her?"
"Well…" Naruto started as he kept his hand on his chin and thought for a second before continuing.
"I don't know why, but she seems out of control. She isn't really a bad person, but she is definitely a violent one."
I nodded at that, since that was similar to the impression I had also formed.
Yesterday I had a fun time bonding with Thea, and she even felt like a similar person to me in some factors in life.
She just wanted to live a normal mundane life of running her night club and not do anything too extravagant.
That being said her family did go through some insane things.
Even a person who lives under the rock like me has heard of the Queen foundation before, but for me, I remembered it from the time when Robert Queen was running it.
My family had some business deals with their applied science divisions back in the day after all.
So I did some searching last night and her brother apparently went onto some gambit with her father and passed away on it while he disappeared for 5 years.
Typically my family would jump right in to take advantage of something as opportunistic as this but it seems like they chose not to.
Either they were being cautious or didn't see the point.
"Anyways let's go." I told the group as we began to walk out of the hotel lobby too and then I called a cab.
As we were entering the cab, Hinata turned around out of nowhere and stared in a specific direction towards a building.
As she turned her head, Naruto also looked in that direction but he had a more casual expression on his face.
"Hey Lucas, do you know those people?" He questioned, as I squinted my eyes to see 2 figures quickly leaving from their spot.
The 2 of them had blond hair, and features similar to each other, making them seem like twins.
"No clue whatsoever." I told Naruto as I ignored the twins.
Sure, I was shocked to see people a part of my past, especially considering I have never seen them after leaving Europe.
I didn't want anything to do with them anyway.
While the twins were stupid, that was just because 'he' brought their collective IQ down.
I am sure that the other one of the 2 would remember that some things were not messing with.
"Really, because they seemed to be following you. Should I take care of them?" Naruto asked in slight confusion.
"It's fine Naruto, they are just some pests."

Authors note:
Unfortunately this isn't a continuation of the fanfic. I simply had a couple of spare chapters I wanted to upload.
I am currently trying a new project, which is basically my own novel but I will be uploading it as a fanfic since honestly I write mainly for interaction with people.
I write to share ideas and run through scenarios with people, so I hope you will try my new project out.
It is called "Eternal Heir."
Do not subscribe to patreon for this fanfic anymore thanks.
