Chapter 37: Dealing with the pests
It didn't take us long for us to get our clothes fitted for the dance. Hinata did say that she would go shopping by herself since she didn't want Naruto to see her dress.
Well for suits, Tom, Naruto and I each got one of our own.
And after that we were currently inside of a coffee shop, as we patiently waited for Hinata to come back and rendezvous with us.
Surrounding us literally at every angle was the public taking photos of Tom, who didn't seem to mind at all as he just waved his paw around occasionally.
"I felt like this in my world after the war too." Naruto commented as he tried his coffee.
"I know, I watched it, remember?"
"Right…that is still going to take a little while to get used to." He said with a slight sigh as we continued on with our convo.
The entire shop was slowly getting filled with more and more customers who had heard that Tom was here, and the place was becoming relatively crowded.
'Lucas I believe that you should give me more freedom.' Steel once again tried to negotiate.
These few days he has been trying to convince me to allow him to travel after we unlocked our invisible mode.
'Steel like I said, maybe in the future. But for now my luck has been getting worse so I need you nearby.' I tried to calm him down again.
'Fine, but we are not done with this discussion.'
"Lucas." Naruto called out to me as I was lost in thought while talking to Steel.
"Hmm?"
"Your friend is sitting right over there." He motioned while nodding his head in a specific direction.
I tried to not look around me, since I didn't need whoever this person who clearly didn't want me to know they were there, to know I knew they were there.
"And who is this friend?"
"The woman we met earlier today." He told me.
My mind immediately went to Thea Queen, and since I didn't realize she was here, but Naruto did, it might mean that she was actively trying to hide.
She obviously fooled me, but how does one go about fooling one of the strongest shinobi in existence by stalking them.
Naruto didn't even seem bothered by the fact that we were being tailed, and just casually continued to drink his coffee.
"What about the people from the building from before?"
"Those guys also followed us," he said as he closed his eyes slightly and focussed on his senses more.
"They also have 50 people with them at the top of the rooftop. All of them are giving off malicious intent."
I looked at him suspiciously for a second before asking, "Since when did you know how to use words like 'malicious?'"
"Hey are you trying to call me an idiot?!" He exclaimed in mock hurt.
"Are you not?"
"Well…whatever. Hinata said it would be smart for me to learn new words before I became Hokage." He mumbled.
I couldn't help but nod, it is a good thing she is changing this brute into someone who is worthy of becoming Hokage.
"What to do…."I couldn't help but mutter slightly out loud as I thought about my current predicament. For the first time I knew what was going on in my surroundings before it had even happened.
And it seems obvious that the Twins were planning something.
I say twins, but one of them makes the plans, the other just follows like a loyal dog.
It didn't really take me long to make my decision though, since I knew what needed to be done with pests.
"I will be right back." I told Naruto and Tom, as I stood up from my seat.
Naruto had a massive grin on his face, as if proud about the decision I made. He calmly leaned back onto his chair as he was drinking his coffee, and raised his other hand towards me.
"Don't let 'em of easy." He told me as he showed me his fist.
"I don't plan to." I told him with honesty as I walked towards the toilet.
'Steel.' I called out to the robot as I checked inside of the bathroom to see if there were any poopers before my transformation.
'What is it, Lucas?'
'Quick and efficient. That's the plan.'
'Alright.' Steel replied as I charged up the energy inside of me and began our transformation.
However as our usual transformation began, I felt something fundamentally different due to the mixture of Chakra now inside of my Turbo energy.
My energy couldn't exactly be called Turbo energy anymore, since it mixed with a new type of energy.
I decided to name it a new name right there and then, [Fusion Energy].
[Fusion mode- Invisibility]
With that, as I entered into a stealth like state, I carefully exited the shop I was inside off and made my way towards the building the twins were in.
It wasn't really that hard to get into, since this world didn't have any technology made to counteract Turbo, or now called Fusion modes yet.
So I just entered the building they were camping in and made my way to the top floor.
'This is a lot more anti-climactic than one would expect.' Steel commented as we were in the elevator.
'Your right.'
As I got off on the higher floor the elevator could take us, I had to take the stairs to the top floor.
And right as I opened the door, I saw 2 guards in suits protecting the entryway towards the terrace.
'How are we going to deal with this?' Steel questioned me as we saw the 2 guards.
'Easily.'
I silently walked up to the first guard without producing any sound.
And right as I reached him, I channeled the Fusion energy inside of my palm, and struck it right towards his Jaw.
I could hear something crack, and the man immediately fell down making a loud 'thud,' sound.
"What the he-" The other guard began trying to take out a pistol out of his holster but I grabbed his wrist before he could do that and locked his neck into a grip with my arms making him choke for air.
I then silently and slowly brought him to the ground and made sure he had passed out due to the lack of oxygen.
'Neat,' Steel said, as I opened the door the guards were protecting and peeked my head out to see a large number of people on the roof. Some snipers who were beginning to station themselves.
The twins themselves were sitting on some chairs. One of them was on his phone, checking something while the other was actively preparing the plan of action.
I quickly moved into the rooftop and closed the door before anyone even realized what had happened.
"He left for the bathroom a while ago." One of the snipers commented as he continued to look towards the coffee shop.
"You're right," The female twin commented as she looked down. "Something feels off."
"Stop being scared! We finally have him where we want him! He is not the same man we know, if he was, he wouldn't have been hiding in fear so far away from our family!" The male twin exclaimed.
I don't know why, but when he said the word 'hiding,' I felt some anger deep inside of my soul.
Even though it was true…

Authors note:
Unfortunately this isn't a continuation of the fanfic. I simply had a couple of spare chapters I wanted to upload.
I am currently trying a new project, which is basically my own novel but I will be uploading it as a fanfic since honestly I write mainly for interaction with people.
I write to share ideas and run through scenarios with people, so I hope you will try my new project out.
It is called "Eternal Heir."
