Then, Hancock—wearing a black cheongsam that no longer bore the Nine Snake emblem but instead the Celestial Dragon insignia—rushed into Kahn's arms. Her long, graceful legs wrapped tightly around his waist as she shouted with a mix of excitement and resentment.
"I missed you too," Kahn said as he held her tightly, lifting his head to kiss her passionately in midair.
It had been nearly a year since Kahn and Hancock had seen each other, though they spoke over the Den Den Mushi daily.
If it weren't for the pressing circumstances and the poor environment, Hancock would have already insisted on some intimate time with Kahn inside the lantern fish.
After their intense kiss, Kahn subtly accessed Hancock's recent memories. Without asking any questions, he took Hancock to meet Myskina Acier and his daughter, Myskina Olga, the inventors of Pure Gold.

Meanwhile, Acier and his daughter had discovered that the lanternfish was dead. Being a brilliant scientist, Acier had also tracked the creature's location, noting that it remained in the deep sea. He had already begun experimenting with materials found inside the lantern fish to create something that might help them survive temporarily underwater and return to the sunlit layer or even to land.
When Kahn and Hancock approached, Acier was startled to see other humans but immediately became cautious, especially since he possessed the treasure that was Pure Gold. His wariness increased as he observed Kahn and Hancock closely.
However, Acier's scepticism soon turned to joy.
"Is it true? Do you have a Paramecia-type Op-Op Fruit user with you?" Acier asked Kahn excitedly.
What thrilled Assier was the mention of the Op-Op Fruit. Pure Gold was originally created as a desperate attempt to keep his terminally ill daughter, Olga, alive. In that era, there were only two ways to save someone suffering from a terminal illness: obtaining the ultimate Devil Fruit—the Op-Op Fruit—or using the forbidden Pure Gold.
While Pure Gold could extend Olga's life, it couldn't cure her illness. So, even though she had lived for nearly 200 years, she still appeared sickly.
Acier knew that if Olga's health could be fully restored, he would gladly give up all the Pure Gold he had. His treasure meant nothing compared to his daughter's life. He was willing to part with it if it meant Kahn could heal her.
