"What!" Old Mr Carter asked as he stood up out of shock.
"What do you mean that the two got a marriage certificate? Isn't Gerald already married?" he added with a frown on his face as he couldn't believe what he heard.
"Yes. However, I don't know how he did it. Now, he has two wives but his first wife and Helena aren't aware of anything. The Powells are aware of it as Gerald had to tell them so that they couldn't say anything wrong in front of Helena," the son said as he was already gloomy when he heard the news.
"Outrageous! How can they do such a wicked thing?" he asked.
Just as he was about to about his mouth to speak. His phone started ringing and he looked at his son.
"Who is calling you now?" he asked with a frown as it was already rare for someone to call his father.
"Miss Hamilton," Old Mr Carter said as he picked up the call.
"Hello," he said after swallowing saliva.
