Aurora asked as she didn't see any reason to reject the offer of telling the man why she was calling when there wasn't much to talk about between them.
"The Simmons and the Powells?" Old Mr Carter asked in shock as he didn't expect Aurora to know about the Simmons and that there seemed to be something between them.
"Yes," Aurora said causing the old man to remain silent as he didn't know what to say or where to start.
"Can you please tell me?" Aurora said coldly as she hated when someone was silent after she asked a question.
Guessing that his silence was making the woman run out of patience and he was also afraid of being on her bad side, Old Mr Carter sighed before shaking his head as he didn't have any other reason to remain silent but at the same time wondered what those two families had done to her.
