The men and women looked at each other and started murmuring.
The shareholders were aware that there was such a will. However, when they were told about it, they wondered why Miss Hamilton was even cold to her husband and couldn't leave a single thing to him. Only the closest to her knew the reason, however, even then, they never thought that the girls weren't Mr Adams.
They all remembered that Miss Hamilton and Mr. Adams had indeed gotten married when Aurora was already two years but at that time, they had all thought that the two had gotten a child before marriage. Also, they had just started working with Miss Hamilton and weren't so familiar with each other thus no one ever asked her a question.
"Now I understand why she left such a rule behind and asked us to promise her that Mr Adam will never find out till when her daughters are grown up to take over," one of the women said.
