"Catherine," Ziva began quietly, "is it really okay not to tell him everything?"
Catherine sighed, her fingers still massaging her temples. "What's your point, Ziva?"
" The gate won't stay open for long. If things go wrong, there's a real chance Yohan could be stranded on the other side. He deserves to know," Ziva said, stepping closer.
Catherine lowered her hands and looked up at Ziva, her expression calm but resolute. "If I told him that, do you think he'd still agree to go?"
"Madam, you signed a soul contract with Yohan, didn't you?"
Catherine's eyes snapped open, her sharp gaze locking onto Ziva. "I did. What of it?"
Ziva hesitated but then asked, her voice measured, "You lied to him about the full dangers of the gate. Won't that break the contract and harm your soul? You know how dangerous soul contracts can be if the conditions are violated."
