'The lunatic king' was the only thought that occupied Almo's mind.
Pulling the witch closer to him, Gavriel asked seriously "The mistress, is she your leader?"
The witch kept quiet not answering the King's question.
Almo figured that even if he answers or doesn't answer the King's questions, he will still die eventually so he decided that both of them should loose.
Almo smiled sinisterly at that thought. He mocked the so called 'king'.
"I thought you would be more powerful, 'Sire".
Almo mocked
"Hahahaha" Gavriel heartily chuckled, "Such a pity" he looked down at the witch.
"There were two of you l remember. Isn't that right". Gavriel acted like he was thinking.
"Now it's only one. That's why rulers should be older and wiser not little boys who act on there every impulse". Almo spat referring to how he had killed his friend.
Gavriel quietly looked at the floating corpse before him. He knew the idiot wouldn't even try to save his own life because he either way he was a dead man. And now he thought that the other witch was also dead which he didn't care about.
But why not be a little more optimistic, he thought.
"It kills me to see men like you attempting to commit suicide, tch tch". What Gavriel said contradicted with the cynical smirk that adorned his full lips.
Almo kept on asking himself 'How did this king get here and why?'
"I see that you might have some questions old man but lets first get down for that"
The king said his facial expression serious.
Almo felt his body start lower back to the ground 'What was he going to do?' He asked himself in frustration.
"Stop these games boy kill me already" Almo's voice sounded like that of an old tired man, his face also appeared pale and wrinkled.
He nolonger looked like a thirty year old man but rather one who was on the brink of death.
Gavriel lightly lowered him to the ground and said "I personally wouldn't find it right for you to have a false appearance even in your death". He said acting like what he did was malevolent.
"Hhh how.... did yo..." Almo tried to talk with his hoarse voice but he couldn't even try to form a word.
Gavriel just looked at the powerless witch that he had just sucked all his power from, he enjoyed watching the man paying for the mistake of harming what wasn't his to harm.
The old witch gasped for air fighting to stay alive which amused the king.
Moving to stand near the witch, Gavriel summoned his black mist which enveloped the witch's body.
He restored some of his power, giving the witch false hope. Almo looked at the man who had just restored his power in confusion wondering what the man was up to.
"On second thought", Gavriel said and sped up to the witch. Placing his hard on his neck and the other on his shoulder, he pulled the man's head off of his body.
"Red, should be very happy with this souvenir". A wicked smile graced the King's face thinking about how the girl's face will contort in horror.
Leisurely walking away from the scene like he was just taking a walk in the park. The king disappeared in the dark.
Back to Matthew who was taking the witch to underground dungeons, he heard footsteps coming to meet him but he already knew who the person was without even looking.
"My Lord do you know the meaning of the word 'privacy'? Because if you don't, I happen to know a world class Governor personally and am sure he will be more than delighted to tutor you".
"Hahaha" Lester lightly chuckled "You know it does capture a guest's attention when the butler of your host carries a half dead man on his shoulder.
And not to mention this person could possibly be your distant cousin". The Duke mused
"And might l add that it seems that am not the only one whose attention you seemed to capture" Lester added sensing a strong presence looking at them but he didn't know which one with all the purebloods in the castle.
Matthew had sensed it too but that was the least of his cares.
"He is almost dead" Lester said hearing the very faint heartbeat of the man.
"That's why you are still here, My Lord" Matthew said dropping the witch harshly in the dungeon.
Lester just sighed and went closer to the witch to see if he could lengthen the man's life span before the other lunatic arrived.
Florah ran as fast as she could racing with the wind. She stopped a little to breath but resumed her running immediately.
She could see that she was almost out of the forest. Glancing back, she was delighted to see that no one had followed her, Florah ran out of the forest and on to the open grass field.
Seeing her small house that she didn't know she missed, Florah quickened her pace running towards her home.
Hurriedly opening the door that was bolted like she had left it. She quickly entered and closed it behind her, leaning her tired body on it. Exhaling harshly through her mouth, her chest heaved with exhaustion.
She could hardly believe that she was still alive.
'Who was that man?' She wondered.
Tired from running, Florah didn't notice the shadow of a man seated on her bed smirking at her.
'Clap clap' Florah jerked forward hearing the sound of someone clapping in her house.
