"Hello!" Mary made a face, as she expected Dera's voice to sound anytime soon from the phone's speaker. She had memorized her line of conversation so many times that she would still be able to say it even if her brain was excavated from its place.
She waited and waited, but there was no response nor a sign that someone had picked up the call. When she had waited for almost two minutes and had no response, she howled into the phone
"Jesus Christ!" Dera exclaimed from the receiver's end "Was it your wish to deafen me?" She asked rudely, hissing loudly from her end.
"I think I actually intended healing and eliminating your hearing loss" She replied sarcastically without actually meaning to.
