CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TEN
EDWARD'S POV
I drove my car in sadness, heading to the Griffins restaurant where I was supposed to meet with my fiancee's archenemy. I had given Roxanne a vague description of where I was heading, hoping she had not caught up with my lie as my face at the moment when I had spewed the lie, had been squeezed into a frown that could easily give my lie away.
But Roxanne had been all at peace. Her nagging subsided into a depressing nod or weak smile that was powerful enough to turn my insides out. She was sure to have not truly noticed my mood as she was equally in a mood of her own.
I put on music, trying to warm my head and spirit but the crazy beats and thumps in it created an ache in my head that pounded just as loud as the crazy thumping beats.
