CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-THREE
EDWARD'S POV
I picked up the call and the first thing I heard was "I'm giving you till tonight to come up with the one billion dollars. And it must be in cash, not transfer"
"What?" I asked in surprise, spurning around to face an astonished Roxanne. What was going on?
"Excuse me.."
"Let me speak with her" She offered, stretching forth her hands to grab the phone from mine.
"No," I said stiffly, still trying to fix what Dera had just said into some sensible box. She had fallen silent, obviously noticing my bark of confusion but was still on the line, waiting like a tiger.
"Please" She looked like she was about to cry, and my heart softened at once. She was the love of my life, I couldn't bear to see her in tears
