She had been concerned that Noah was faking it all. Everything about his sudden engagement seemed odd to her, but she couldn't put her finger on why.
"Why do you think that?" asked Lionel, looking up at her.
"Doesn't it seem strange to you that your hard-hearted son has suddenly come home with a woman?"
"You're the only one who's shocked, sweetheart. Father and I already knew Noah was married." Evelyn's eyes widened as she was utterly shocked by the information she had just heard. Lionel and Vincent knew about Noah's marriage and hadn't informed her?
"How could you?" she snapped, jumping up from the table to stand in front of him. Lionel knew he was in big trouble today, without anyone having to tell him.
