"Karen, why do you call The Punisher a violent person? Isn't he also a vigilante? A superhero?" Peter noticed Karen using different vocabulary when describing Daredevil and The Punisher.
"The Punisher, whose real name is Frank Castle, was a former Marine who became an FBI training instructor after retiring. A few years ago, his family was killed by gangsters. Though Frank was shot in the head and pronounced dead, he survived."
"After that, Frank transformed into The Punisher and came to Hell's Kitchen to try and find his family's murderers."
"Not long ago, he and the masked vigilante known as Daredevil destroyed the three major gangs ruling Hell's Kitchen."
"His philosophy is: if you're guilty, you must die. He once applied to join the Avengers but was rejected by Mr. Stark."
Karen revealed The Punisher's details like a wealth of information.
Peter didn't have much reaction after hearing this.
The Punisher's appearance reminded him of an old acquaintance - Noir Spider-Man.
Noir also showed no mercy to villains.
Even after merging with him, that didn't change much. That night alone, he directly or indirectly killed Vulture, Kraven the Hunter, and Green Goblin.
Of course, there were still some differences between them.
Noir only killed those he deemed deserving.
The Punisher, on the other hand, had an attitude of completely eradicating all sin.
However, judging from Iron Man having such detailed information about him, The Punisher's actions seemed to have some tacit approval.
Perhaps as a check and balance on New York's underworld forces?
As for guilt over killing his own relatives...do politicians have things like that?
—While Peter observed Daredevil and The Punisher, the two people opposite started arguing.
Previously, Daredevil learned The Punisher was following District Attorney Samantha Reyes, because after destroying several Hell's Kitchen gangs, The Punisher seemed to have evidence proving Samantha was directly related to the incident that killed his family!
Although Daredevil's own methods of dealing with villains were somewhat radical, he believed The Punisher's indiscriminate killing was too extreme.
So he wanted to follow and stop him.
Even if you want revenge, you should get everything clear first, right?
As the two started fighting over the disagreement, Samantha ordered police officers to shoot them.
They fell from the glass roof, Daredevil hitting his head and going unconscious.
He was then brought here by The Punisher.
After Daredevil woke up, he continued trying to persuade The Punisher, probably meaning: Goodness exists in everyone, no one is beyond redemption.
But The Punisher scorned Daredevil's ideas. He believed his method was the best way to end crime, while Daredevil's approach was more like a "half-measure."
Is doing only half of justice really justice?
Then, The Punisher pulled out a brown-haired man and said to Daredevil: "Now, you have three choices."
"First, you kill him!"
"Second, kill me before I kill him!"
"Third, do nothing, I'll kill him!"
Looking closely, though Daredevil was tied up, a gun was "conveniently" bound to his hand, finger on the trigger.
Obviously pre-planned by The Punisher.
However, Daredevil didn't hesitate, choosing a fourth option.
Bang!
The gun in Daredevil's hand struck the chains binding him.
With a clattering sound, the chains hit the ground.
At that moment, another gunshot rang out, the bullet passing through the man's body, blood spraying out.
The Punisher casually tossed the gangster to the ground, looking at Daredevil mockingly.
The gangster on the ground spat out a mouthful of blood and vaguely asked Daredevil: "Why didn't you save me?"
Daredevil silently put down his pistol, but he was ultimately a step too slow.
Of course, there was no guilt.
This guy was named Grotto, one of the core Irish Kitchen gang members in Hell's Kitchen.
When The Punisher was taking them down before, Grotto happened to be away, allowing his escape.
Instead, this guy stubbornly contacted Hell's Kitchen's official head Samantha Reyes, trying to leverage her influence to become the next Kingpin after Wilson Fisk.
What made Daredevil regretful was that he could have gotten more information from this guy, then used legal means to imprison him with a heavy sentence.
But now, he was killed directly by The Punisher.
A decisive act, but some things were forever buried as a result.
Daredevil shook his head slightly, troubled by The Punisher's behavior.
Peter was a bit confused.
Is rescuing someone so careless?
The only difference from the special forces rescue in Bearland is whether they save bullets, right?
At this point, The Punisher had walked aside, taking out a weapon that looked like a shoulder-mounted RPG from a nearby backpack.
But as he pulled the trigger, it began accumulating energy.
That "RPG" started emitting a faint glow. Instead of a rocket launcher, it was clearly a shoulder-mounted energy cannon!
Peter stood up suddenly.
Energy weapons!
And an energy weapon in the shape of a conventional kinetic weapon!
Isn't this what he was tracking down?
"Hey, wait, Mr. Punisher!" Peter didn't continue observing, directly shooting out webbing to swing over.
"Who are you?" The Punisher turned suddenly, the muzzle of the charging energy cannon also pointing at Peter.
Buzz -
The spider-sense in Peter's brain jumped suddenly.
His eyelids twitched wildly, the feedback from his spider-sense telling him the guy in front of him might blast the energy cannon at any moment!
"This madman," Peter cursed inwardly, but could only smile outwardly - unfortunately concealed by his mask.
Peter didn't dare make unnecessary moves for fear of provoking The Punisher. He said carefully: "I'm Spider-Man, from Queens. Like you guys, I'm also a, uh, vigilante. That's what they call me."
"Oh, you're the neighborhood kid," The Punisher lowered his energy cannon's muzzle slightly, but the charge continued building.
Peter felt a little relieved: "No, I'm not a kid."
"A kid won't admit he's a kid."
"I'm not!" Peter argued.
The Punisher said: "Only a kid would be keen on helping old ladies cross the street every day."
Peter: Karen, didn't you say this guy is a violent killer without blinking? Why's he so venomous? Don't I, Spider-Man, have any face?
Karen: ^-^!
