Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: Invading Stark Tower

The fight with Dr. Lizard took Peter nearly an hour, and the subsequent research took a full six hours.

When he returned, it was already dawn outside.

Peter's body was rested and refreshed. And Peter's spirit, to be honest, has always been quite excited. After all, he is a young man.

Most importantly, he felt like he fit in well with The Amazing Spider-Man universe. As mentioned before, they are like half-brothers. Or the kind of twins.

Although the Noir Spider-Man also had a great influence on Peter, his tone was too gloomy, and his temperament was somewhat different from that of a young boy like Peter, so he didn't get along well with him.

Peter first glanced at the glowing spider-web in his mind. It's a pity that after Noir Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man's light spot no longer shined. This means that he can't go to the Amazing Spider-Man universe for the time being. He didn't know when the next light point would turn on, or whether that light point would be the two parallel universes he had been to, or a new universe he had never visited.

However, maybe it's just right to get things done on his own side first. Anyway, Aunt May was not at home, so he got up directly, sat down at the table, and rewrote [SPC-120703 Polymer Biomass Fiber Material Synthesis Plan] and [Spider Silk Optical Microscope].

SPC-120703 consists of three parts, where "SP" is the abbreviation of Spider-Man, C is the abbreviation of copy, and 120703 is the number of the Amazing Spider-Man universe. Taken together, this means the spider silk copy of the 120703 Universe's Spider-Man, which is simple and clear. Of course, this is just a number convenient for distinguishing. In fact, as long as Peter doesn't mention it, no one will connect it with the Spider-Man from the parallel universe.

Before he finished writing, it was time to go to school. So Peter took his unfinished work to school and wrote secretly during class. The teacher was deeply pleased to see Peter writing so diligently and praised him for being so smart and hard-working, so that other students could learn from him. Especially Flash Thompson.

So: Flash's defense broke +1, HP-1, and hatred value +1.

In the experimental class, because the spider silk had just been replenished, Peter did not make the spider silk secretly this time. Instead, he openly made the SPC-120703 polymer biomass fiber material and spider silk optical microscopes. He wanted to make samples to convince Tony Stark.

Of course, he didn't actually want to be so open about it. In fact, at first he was habitually conducting research in secret. It just happened that Ned, the heavy-set guy, came over to chat again and attracted the teacher over.

At that time, Peter was putting the spider silk optical microscope on the optical microscope in the laboratory, and then observing a small amount of freshly produced SPC-120703 polymer biomass fiber, but there was no time to collect it. So he was discovered by the teacher.

In desperation, Peter had to bring up the Stark internship project again and explained that this was the task assigned to him by Mr. Stark. The teacher was very happy after hearing this. Being associated with a large enterprise like Stark Industries made him feel honored. Instead of blaming Peter, he asked if there was anything else Peter needed help with, just ask.

As a result, Peter somehow got a "pass" that allowed him free access to the school laboratory. It was a blessing in disguise.

During lunch, Peter tried to contact Tony Stark to sell two samples of his research. However, the messages sent out were met with silence and there was no reply at all. This made Peter very helpless. After all, as a prospective Avenger, couldn't Stark be a bit more attentive?

Unfortunately, Stark Tower is in Manhattan. It is not only far away from Queens where he lives, but also separated by a river. It is very inconvenient to go there. If it's going back and forth, just relying on his school time would be too tight. If Aunt May was not at home, then he could try it. But Aunt May was home, so he had to go home for dinner.

If he had found an opportunity during the first two days when Aunt May was out and went to Stark Industries decisively with the experimental samples, he might not be in the current embarrassing situation. Unfortunately, there are no "ifs" in life.

In this way, several days passed in a row, and finally the weekend came. Still no new world had appeared, and Peter had been steadily doing his own thing these days - being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, doing the training courses in the suit, chatting with Miss A.I Karen, and continuing to think about some new uses of spider silk in the school library and laboratory. Not to mention, there were really some gains. But we can talk about that later.

Because Peter has a more important event today - go find Tony Stark!

Peter put on his backpack and took the pocket money he had saved in the past few days and got on the bus to Manhattan. After a lot of twists and turns, he finally came to the downstairs of Stark Tower and was stopped. No matter how Peter explained it, the security guard downstairs didn't think that a young kid like him would know Tony Stark.

In desperation, Peter had to "find another way." He came to an alley near Stark Tower, put on the spider suit, swung directly to the vicinity of Stark Tower, and ran up the wall.

After reaching the roof like this, before Peter could stand firm, his spider-sense was triggered. "Unidentified visitor detected, initially determined to be an illegal intruder, self-defense mode activated," the electronic voice sounded.

Immediately afterwards, somewhere on the ground opened, and an Iron Man armor suit flew out from it, flying towards Peter at a very fast speed. Peter was slightly startled and quickly jumped away from where he was.

"Mr. Stark, I am Spider-Man, not an illegal intruder," Peter said exasperatedly.

"The authorization information was not read in the database. It is determined that 'Spider-Man' is an illegal intruder target and self-defense mode is allowed to continue," the AI responded as the alarm kept ringing.

Peter complained while dodging the attacks of the armored suit, "We agreed that I would be a trainee Avenger? Forget about the security barrier downstairs, why don't even the programs controlled by the AI system recognize me?"

In fact, he really wanted to try how powerful this armored suit was. But he was afraid that if it got damaged, Iron Man would ask him to compensate. After all, he was at fault for his "illegal intrusion" first, and he had a project for Stark to invest in. However, if he smashed an armored suit worth at least several million dollars without saying anything, it would be hard to justify.

"Re-evaluate the strength of illegal intruders and increase the self-defense level!" Just as Peter was dodging the attack of the first armored suit, another voice sounded.

So, boom—boom—two more armored suits flew out.

Peter gritted his teeth, "I won't be polite if you act like this!"
