Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 Part 1:Sword appears Weaker against Stronger Foes

"I won't make the same mistake again" Takeshi states pulling his small sword from his backpack/inventory. "I'm not sure of my purpose, but I know yours…"

"And you shall never achieve!" Takeshi darts forward and jabs his sword to the zombies forehead. It hits the mark, and the zombie stumbles back before drooping down.

"Rah" the zombie utters energy-less. His forehead is completely impaled, the fact the zombie is still up must be a miracle.

Takeshi gets a strange feeling and looks up, seeing the clouds lighting up. "It's almost morning" he grins, before tensing back of changing his gaze back to the opponent.

The zombie still drooped, charges towards Takeshi without a care in the world. He lets out one last noise before his gut is spilled to the floor by Takeshi.

"You live here, I only came here, and yet I defeated you…" Takeshi brags griping his sword tighter…

He reaches his sword back to his pack and swaps it out for his axe. "It's almost morning, I need to work for the rest of the night." He instructs himself.

Takeshi approaches a tree, and sways his axe into it until the tree falls. He has the goal of chopping down 20 trees, by now he's chopped 10 of them down.

"It's strange, I'm not sweating unless I think about it." He points out. "I also noticed I don't feel pain if I ignore it?" He puts these questions off for later in favor of chopping down more trees.

As the 15th tree hits the grass he begins to get bored, and his work drive plummets. He looks to the glinting sun, then looks back down. "I've done a lot, I'm almost there"

The 16th fell, then the 17th, followed by the 18th and even the 19th, don't get me started on the 20th. He stands proud before looking down at the small stacks of wood laying in the grass.

He puts them all into his backpack, then sits down on one of his victims(stump #19). "2378?!" He exclaims.

"That will last me a lifetime!" He exclaims louder than the last. Despite him being in the four digits on wood, his backpack feels light as usual.

He grins and takes a stand. Takeshi heads back to his house, very pridefully. When he arrived it was fully bright out.

He takes a step onto the wooden floor once again, and looks around to see Maxwell calmly sitting in the corner chair with a blank expression.

"Hey Maxwell!" Takeshi shouts-bringing Maxwell back. Maxwell blinks before adjusting his vision. "Did you get the wood?" Maxwell asks.

"Yeah, and I got 18 extra trees chopped down!" Takeshi says excitedly. Maxwell nods, then Takeshi takes a step forward to the workbench and enthusiastically creates 3 more piles of wooden walls.

"This should be enough." Takeshi says calmly. Looking back over his face, it seems his injuries have healed once again, almost like he can regenerate?

Takeshi huffs as he stands before the wall, then he swiftly covers the first wall, before annihilating the second. He looks around the room in a full 360 coming onto a conclusion that the room is finished.

Maxwell stands in front of the workbench and reaches his hand down. Takeshi hopes Maxwell will join up so he crosses his fingers. "I-I" Maxwell attempts to form something.

"It says I'm a citizen here now!" He exclaims. "That's great, now you can help me out on my journey!" Takeshi shouts.

Maxwell grins and nods, "Now that you've given me a home, I must agree!" He says enthusiastically…

Takeshi looks to the door, before looking down and walking out of the room. His shoe touches the cold night grass, and he begins walking with one idea.

"I need more resources" is his idea. He has an idea about how to get stronger in this new world and the method of collecting resources is the way it typically goes in games.

He's using past experience to succeed in this new world. In front of him stands a massive hill with a gaping cave at the base, and flowering trees trailing towards the top.

Takeshi takes a step forward, and ganders the beautiful scenery. The lush trees, with the beautiful sun creates a stunning sight.

The cave becomes the section for resources and he pivots his goal towards it. The result is huge when he takes his first step into the cave.

The cave is massive on the inside even bigger than it seemed from the exterior. Takeshi gazes left then right before heading deeper into the cave down a natural tunnel.

The tunnel goes damn near straight down and has water dripping from the ceiling more often than the first section he encountered. A drop hits his face, and the reality hits him.

He shivers with a strange feeling that he's being watched. Takeshi freezes up, and takes a step out of nervousness.

He takes another and he nears the cave wall. The wall feels like cloth, or Maybe a rug with gel underneath. He checks out the wall turning his head very slowly to see he had bumped into a woman with white hair.

He whips his head, and jumps backwards unsheathing the sword from his backpack. The woman remains still, while Takeshi maintains a tough focus.

They maintain eye contact until she blinks and shakes her head. Foam rolls out of her mouth and she looks down. Her hands face her palms, and she charges forward towards Takeshi.

Takeshi jabs his short sword into the woman's chest, but he's blown back into the cave wall narrowly avoiding tumbling down the tunnel. He now feels strange and he clutches his right side.

"My body won't… respond" Takeshi says as the woman seizes the stumble and charges towards him quicker than before. Her foot meets his head, as she throws a strong soccer kick.

"There's no adrenaline, she hit my liver" his head smashes directly into the cave wall and he slumps over narrowly dodging the next strike by rolling over to his side. He blinks, and takes another kick dead center onto his nose.

"It feels like my heart's slowing down…" he tries to ignore the pain.

And It works…

He ignores the pain, and raises his arm blocking the next blow. His right arm cracks under pressure, so does his left as he blocks the next sending him back to the floor this time on the opposite side of the cavern room.

He stands back up using but his human spirit. "Some of my injuries are gone, it has too be…"

"I can regenerate!"

The woman doesn't understand, all she cares about is "kill", her foot stamps the floor and she's launched up. The wind fills the air, as if she weighed 900 pounds.

The spins once, then twice while still in air. She raises her knee and unleashes another kick. Takeshi's sword impales her foot as he had it pointed towards her in preparation.

"Your pattern is predictable" he fixes his gaze, as her foot exits his sword and her blood drizzles across the cold rock floor.

He carries his sword with both arms to the right of his head, and releases it aiming for straight for her mouth. The sword impales her nose, causing massive damage despite him missing the mark.

She falls to the floor, her blood creating a small pile caused by her new holes. She looks up at him, her pupils widen before they go black and she slowly falls over.

"Call it adrenaline, it's half and half to me…" he coughs up blood, then looks to the cave sky and laughs. "You hurt like hell, I hope we never fight again!"

His second victory was against the nymph, a small creature taking the form of a white hair girl that appears to be standing ominously, almost innocently. Until her prey walks forward and she strikes.

A few hours later as Takeshi journeys through the now warmer feeling cave he notices occasional sand beginning to replace the water dripping down. "Hmm that's strange" he comments as a sliver of sand runs down his shirt.

He reaches out his hand and continues walking. He walks for about another hour, by now his hand is completely full of sand and he's beginning to see more of the stuff while also seeing desert style rock.

The surrounding cave seems to convert and light banjos seem to echo outside the cave walls as if it were a room. Takeshi is taken by surprise but shakes it off, assuming it's a common occurrence in this new world.

The ground shakes beneath his feet as his walking slows down. He notices a chest in the distance, however the shaking of the floor disturbs him.

He unsheathes his short sword, and leaps forward avoiding a massive desert worm tunneling up from the floor. His face contorts out of pain from his elbow slamming into a massive rock.

The desert worm tunnels into the ceiling, its massive scales covering its tube like tan body, along with the gaping hole for its mouth. Takeshi stands up and regains some composure.

He looks left then right, the worm is tunneling behind the walls in all directions. "It's… BEHIND ME!" He whips his body around and slams his sword into the worm.

The sword spills a trail of blood from the worm as it drags through it. The worm hisses before heading back underneath. Takeshi lets out a sigh of relief, and fixes his gaze towards the nearby chest.

The chest is glooming and golden. The massive unlocked lock on it is nothing to look over. He approaches it and carefully opens it.

He reaches his hand inside, his pupils wide while the face shows excitement. He pulls out a shirt, then…

"Click!"

He's impaled by 2 arrows and blasted into the cave wall, then 4 massive tumbling bowlders flatten his body into a board. His body is a gruesome sight, you can't tell organ from skin.

His body lays dormant, before it phases through the ground leaving nothing behind… not even the smallest drop of blood…
