Bella's pov
I pack all our things as we will leave soon. When Lucas came, just then I was going to book a cab. He suggested to let him drop us home, which I politely declined. But then Rachel asked me to invite him for dinner.
I didn't want to waste his time, that's why I offered the dinner to be on some other day. But he said he is free today. Wow...his reflex speed. He spit those words so fast that I thought he was rapping(a/n exaggerating here lol...)
So yeah....I couldn't object anymore as he is definitely free today. So I agreed for both...him driving us home and the dinner. At least he said that he will eat everything I cook, so I'm not worried about his likes.
He carried Rachel in one arm and a bag in another, while I picked up the small bag. We met her doctor in the way and greeted him too. He left while I talked some more about her condition and soon catch up with him.
I don't know why but when he was walking ahead of me, he looked like my....
husband. I mean we looked like a family. It probably was not only my thoughts...I guess anyone who will see us like this, would think that we are married and have a daughter. We also got mistaken for a couple several times in this week.
My thoughts interrupted when he giggled after Rachel whispered something to him. Why just seeing him like this is making me weak? He looked back at me and stopped for me to catch up with him. This man is defo a green flag.
Did he treat every lady, he had spent a night with, like this? The mere thought of this made me angry. I scoffed and side-eyed him. Playboy.
We reached the car soon and he opened the trunk and put our bags there. Then he moved with Rachel to the back seat and buckled her seatbelt. I was watching all this standing at the side. There are two reasons for that. I was confused where to sit and also his graceful movements got my attention.
Just as if he heard my thoughts, he moved to my side and open the door for me. Wow, the gentleman gesture surely makes you feel butterflies. At least I felt them as a first timer. Well.....no one dropped me home before other than the cab drivers.
Will it be rude if I say that I want to sit with Rachel? But if I didn't sit in the passenger seat, he will feel like my driver. Forget it, I will just sit in the front. I smiled and sat after saying a small 'thank you'.
He closed the door and moved to the driver's seat. The ride started and it was silent during the whole journey. Rachel was busy looking outside and I too thought not to disturb him while driving. I already told him the address and we soon reached reached the apartment.
