Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 6: THE FURIOUS LOVER

Silvia and Alfred helps Seiki to enroll on the Heroes Academy three days prior to the interschool festival. Seiki was able to enroll in the academy with ease after they both bring him to see Silvia's mother, a head councilor of the academy. Silvia's mother Lucia then introduce them to Professor Fray, (a beautiful brunette) and one of the professors at the academy. Fray is assign by Silvia's mom to accomodate and help Seiki with his registration. Seiki was amaze at the size of the institution and was impress by the various facilities at the academy.

(There are two class sections in the academy the class A and B.) Silvia then pleads with Professor Fray to add Seiki to class A, but she first asks about Seiki's family status. Silvia reacts with frustration and argues that Seiki's family background and social status should not be a factor. However, Professor Fray points out that placing Seiki in class A could lead to him being discriminated against by his classmates, especially those from noble families who do not want to associate with commoners. After that, Seiki ends their disagreement by expressing his willingness to be placed in class B as long as he can ultimately join the academy. He mentions that attending the academy is a goal of his. Following that, Seiki officially enrolls in the academy and is currently a first-year student in class B. He expresses his gratitude to Silvia and Alfred for their help afterwards.

The next day, Professor Fray introduce Seiki to his classmates, two days before the interschool festival. A man with a lively voice, known as Shin and Silvia's cousin from the Niphilim family, invited Seiki to sit next to him. Silvia requests Shin to become friends with Seiki because she credits Seiki for her survival on their last dungeon quest and believes he is a good person. "On his right side, a commoner named "Kaizo" asks Seiki if he truly succeeded in defeating a dungeon boss." Seiki responds by acknowledging that there is some truth to the statement, as he reveals that not only himself, but also his colleague, played a role in killing the dungeon boss. (Most first-year students in class B are ranked C or higher and have no prior experience in dungeon raids. As a result, many are eager to experience the thrill of defeating a dungeon boss). Following that, a girl named "Kurei" approach them and ask whether Seiki is aware of the upcoming mock battle in the afternoon. Seiki then expresses interest in learning more about the mock battle. Kurei explains that it is mandatory for every class to partake in a daily mock battle to improve their skills and to gain some battle experience. Shin mentions that the upcoming match will feature Akihiro Shisui, the top student of the academy from class A in the third year, facing Keil, a young prodigy who holds the third position in their school's ranking and is also a participant in the interschool festival. Seiki shows interest in Keil's name because Hibi is targeting him (a phantom clown troupe member). He invites them to accompany him to the arena for the mock battle, eventually they all decided to go. In the afternoon, the arena is pack with students as the match between Keil and Akihiro commences. Seiki and his companions locate a comfortable spot from which they can see the action clearly. Seiki asks Kurei about the interschool festival. In response, Kurei mentions that both Shiva Heroes Academy and Azura Heroes Academy hold an interschool festival annually. Each academy will have four candidates, who will compete against each other in one-on-one combat to eliminate one another. The students cannot kill each other due to a spell cast by the most powerful mages in the kingdom. The victor will be chosen for a junior captain role based on their preference to serve a specific kingdom or empire. The four individuals that represents the Shiva kingdom are Princess Victoria Brynhild, a second-year member of the Valhalla empire, Keil Greyhart, a second-year commoner and young prodigy, and Third Year Akihiro Shisui, a member of a noble family and lastly Ryou Kisuke a third year student also from a noble family. As the mock battle commences, the arena goes quiet. Keil draws his sword, Excalibur, while Akihiro wields his katana, "tagorihime". Keil, displaying a bold attitude, advances towards Akihiro and strikes at him, prompting Akihiro to calmly shut his eyes and defend against the attack. Akihiro then utilizes his ultimate skill called "silent mist" to create a thick fog, making it difficult for Keil and even the audience to see or find Akihiro. Then Akihiro attacks and cuts Keil on his arms. He then instantly disappears into the mist after inflicting a damage to his opponent, leaving Keil unable to fight back properly. Keil is breathing hard and sweating heavily. Seing his opponent slowly getting worn out, Akihiro makes a sudden attack aiming directly at Keil's throat. Despite Keil's attempt to avoid the strike, it still manages to cut through his neck; fortunately, it isn't very deep. Keil starts evaluating the situation and anticipates that his opponent's next move will involve cutting his left leg. Even though he blocks the strike, Akihiro disappears into the mist once more. Afterwards, he chants a magic spell, he summons the flame-spirit "Saint Elmo", and beseeches the spirit to grant his request. A blue flame envelops Akihiro's sword, it also enables Keil to track the enemy's location. However, Keil finds himself encircled by five distinct illusions of Akihiro. Akihiro starts to launch an attack alongside his multiple afterimages. Keil employs his ultimate skill "limit breaker" to unleash continuous attacks on everything, but he isn't hitting anyone. Out of nowhere a katana pierces Keil's stomach, but he grabs hold of it and unleashes his unique skill, "fatal slash," but his attack only lands on Akihiro's illusion. Keil struggles to accept the fact that he was unable to harm his adversary at all. This leads him to recognize the gap between their powers and the disparity in their combat experience. Akihiro suddenly recites another incantation, leading Keil to launch an attack towards the source of his opponent's voice. The challenge lies in the fact that the voice seems to be coming from multiple directions. Akihiro proceeds to shoot a bolt of lightning directly at Keil's kidney region. The pain from the lightning strike is doubled because the "Tagorihime" is still lodged in his stomach. Keil spits bloody vomit out of his mouth. He seemed to slowly lose awareness, apparently afterwards Akihiro emerges as the clear winner in all aspects. After suffering a discouraging loss that shattered his confidence, Keil's opponent comes up to him and expresses gratitude for accepting the challenge. Keil shakes hands with Akihiro and smiles, acknowledging that he has a lot more to learn before he can surpass him. The nobles are celebrating the commoner's embarrassing loss, Princess Victoria steps in to defend Keil against anyone who dares to mock him, causing the crowd to fall silent. Ryou then proceeds to mock Keil, calling him "a pathetic commoner." Princess Victoria proposes a mock battle to Ryou, with the condition that if he loses, he must agree to stop discriminating against Keil. Ryou agrees to the challenge but adds the stipulation that Princess Victoria must marry him if she loses. He feels it is unfair for him to gain nothing from their battle. Victoria agrees to his challenge and despite Keil's attempt to dissuade her, she tells him to have faith in her abilities because she'll emerge victorious afterwards. The battle commences, followed by the reopening of the arena. Princess Victoria begins by invoking the spell "clairvoyance", she then takes great care in her approach towards her adversary. Ryou informs Victoria that there is no benefit in being in a relationship with someone like Keil, who is not of noble status, and teases Keil once more by saying that being with him will only tarnish her family's reputation. He suggests that she should instead devote herself completely to him, as he would provide for her and look after her every day. He tells Victoria those things with a nasty expression on his face. Suddenly, Ryou freeze the arena and cast his unique skill "ice sphere", several ice spheres began to fly in Victoria's direction. With an enraged expression, she deflects the strike with her sword and generates a powerful aura. Using her ultimate skill "overdrive" she grows a pair of wings and golden armor, transforming herself into a Valkyrie. Victoria's transformation astounds the audience. She then ascends to Ryou and employs her second ultimate skill, dragon killing art "divide." However, Ryou decides to become an ice wyvern in an attempt to withstand the attack directly. A huge explosion takes place, shattering the arena and injuring a few studens with its powerful shock wave. Shortly after, a significant fissure materializes on the ground, and Princess Victoria flies over it in her Valkyrie form. Following a massive explosion, three professors from the academy make their way towards the arena. Professor Grim, a man dressed in black gothic clothing, professor Inu, who was using her guitar as a skateboard while wearing a short red dress, and finally professor Fray, a busty brunette. Upon their arrival, they see the destruction of the arena and quickly realize that Ryou was lying next to a large fissure in the ground. He's in excruciating pain and his left arm was nowhere to be seen. Fortunately, professor Fray is highly skilled in advanced healing techniques and quickly goes to Ryou to treat his injuries. Later on, professor Grim carries Ryou to the clinic using his black chain, while professor Fray follows along to accompany them. Professor Inu decides to remain in order to gather information from the students regarding to the explosion. She then observes Princess Victoria coming towards her with a neutral expression. Afterwards she transforms back to her original form, she then explains every details of the explosion to professor Inu, Keil runs over to join Victoria. Professor Inu informs them that this event will be documented to higher-ups, and depending on the investigation's findings, she could potentially face expulsion from the academy. Unexpectedly, the commander arrives and inquires about the turmoil unfolding in the arena. Professor Inu provides a detailed explanation to Commander Tomoyoki. After hearing the professor's explaination, he then seeks forgiveness from Keil, as he lacked feasible solutions for the discrimination faced by commoners at the academy. "He reassured them that this incident would not present any problems as he would take care of everything."Keil and Princess Victoria quickly express their appreciation to the commander
