Barrette paid no mind to the guests being tricked into leaving the venue; instead, he stared blankly at his daughter onstage, so corrupted by the dark energy that her features were almost unrecognizable, his expression one of utter disbelief.

He rushed onto the stage like a madman, falling to his knees beside Elena's body, at a complete loss.
Hate Gelei quietly approached Barrette and, after scanning Elena's corpse, tried to console Barrette, "My lord, please restrain your grief."
