Wang Daniu was keenly aware that inside was none other than the First Emperor, whose tales of greatness were sung throughout history. Just hearing his voice made one's skin crawl. Soon after, the voice of the First Emperor emanated from the Dragon Bed.
"Come in."
"What do we do?" Murong Xiaoxiao, who had already been frightened to the point of losing control at the sound, huddled behind Wang Daniu, shaking her head vigorously, refusing to go in.
Wang Daniu frowned and glared at Murong Xiaoxiao with dissatisfaction.
"Don't you want to lift the curse on our village?"
They had come here through great hardships to lift the curse, and couldn't back down out of fear or dread. If that was the case, it would have been better not to come at all.
A flicker of hesitation and embarrassment crossed Murong Xiaoxiao's face, but ultimately she resigned herself to follow behind Wang Daniu.
"Fine, we'll do as you say," she conceded.
