Time flew by, and before I knew it, it was the next day. Wang Daniu was playing a game of pulling up radishes with his son Niuniu on their own lawn.
Just then, Wang Mao called again, "Da Niu, you didn't forget about yesterday's conversation, did you? I've started getting things ready over here, and you need to be on time for lunch."
Thinking back to the previous evening when the two had hit it off over drinks, Wang Daniu felt no resistance.
"Okay, I'll come over now. Don't make it too complicated, it's just a neighbor stopping by."
"Sure, sure, I'm waiting for you," Wang Mao said cheerfully as he hung up.
Wang Daniu didn't have much else going on, so he shook his head and looked at his son Niuniu with a smile, "Son, someone's treating us to lunch today. How about Daddy takes you to Uncle Wang's house for a visit?"
Niuniu had been glued to Wang Daniu for the past few days, and there was a natural closeness between them.
