The morning was as gloomy and ill-lit as my heart. The sky was cloudy and humid, as if mourning with me and would any minute pour down its tears. While the priest started his ceremony, everyone who gathered around listened to his message as he commemorated my mother's fulfilling life. I take heed of his emotional speech, reminiscing the life I had with my mother and every single time I spent with her for the last twenty six years of my existence.
Nothing pained me more knowing that this would be the last day that I would be able to see her face. Minutes from now, her remains will be taken to the ground, together with my dreams of being with her until I reach my old days. She will be lying next to my father, who I believed was happy now since he will be together again with the only woman he ever loved.
