I couldn't suppress my smiles from appearing while I silently watched Adam sleep soundly in one of our villa's rooms. Judging by the way I spoke with him a while ago, I could immediately tell that he was a good man. I couldn't believe myself quickly being at ease with him, especially his natural way of humor, which I rarely feel towards the opposite sex.
There was something about him and his laughter that made me optimistic about him. But together with the unexpected buoyancy I felt towards him, I was also saddened with the news our family doctor had told us earlier after he examined him. The abrupt and unforeseen accident that occurred a week ago made him forget everything about himself, which somewhat made me guilty even though it wasn't my fault why he was in this state he was now.
