It had been three days since Len found out about my, 'part time job'.
It had also been three days since we were attacked by The Norge family.
I hadn't spoken to her since then, nor had she spoken to me.
Just as I was speculating whether or not, to go speak to her, the door to my study opened, and Len sauntered in, before taking a seat opposite me.
It was late, so I had expected her to be asleep by now.
"Why are you still up?"
"Never mind that, we have much to discuss."
"Do we?"
"Yes."
"So" she spoke.
"So?"
"So, you're a mafia boss?"
"Yes, I am. And? What of it?"
"Nothing, just wanted some clarity, you'd understand that I had a bit of a problem believing you when you told me earlier, I wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that we were just attacked, and some crazy men were shooting at us!"
"I understand that that was a... stressful experience, to say the least, but please, regain your composure."
"Ah yes, stressful, of course."
"Well? The fact that I am involved with the mafia does not change the fact that I am desperately in love with you."
"Two things, number one; You aren't just involved with the mafia, you are the mafia!"
"And number two?"
"I was getting there!"
"Number two, is that no, the fact that you are a mafia don, changes nothing, you can continue your love escapade, and I will continue to despise you, however safely from a distance."
"I see."
"Yes, though if you intend to make me fall in love with you, despite how impossible that may be, would you not need to woo me? And just so you are aware, flashy cars and blazing guns, is not what would make me swoon and fall head first in love with you."
I smirked, this creature truly was fascinating.
"So, there is something capable of making you swoon for me."
"N-no, I-"
"Trust me princess, I do not need to woo you to make you love me, all I need are five minutes alone with you in a bedroom."
She clearly was taken aback, because she began to stutter. Again.
"I-I, I didn't-"
"And then, when those five minutes are up; When I am done with you, you'd be the one coming to me, begging for my love."
She just remained silent, staring at me in shock.
"But you need not worry princess, I am a proper gentleman, and as such will do no such thing. Rather as you stated, I shall court you, or 'woo' you, as you call it."
"You're a menace."
"And I love every bit of it."
"W-Whatever, here."
She slammed a sheet of paper and a pen unto my desk, all the while glaring at me intently.
"And this is for what exactly?"
"A list." She said calmly.
"A list?"
"Yes."
"A list for what?"
"A list of things you hate."
"And you need that because?"
"It matters not why I need it, I just need it."
"Now write!"
She seemed to remember just who she was talking to and what I did for a living, because she suddenly adopted a polite tone.
"Please. Please write."
"Very well then."
I began writing, but of course, had to have a bit of fun, so I added a few things that didn't belong to the list.
Then I handed it back to her, and she began reading it out loud, for who, I was unsure.
"Pineapple on pizza. Guns without silencers. Skinny jeans. Ripped jeans?"
"Do you think this is a joke?"
"Just keep reading princess."
"Liars. Physical, or intimate touch?"
"Yes, I abhor physical touch, so don't touch me, unless of course I give you permission to, or I am the one touching you."
Now, this was incorrect, I had absolutely nothing against physical touch, rather I quite enjoyed it, but there was no harm in teasing her a bit right?
"Fine then, no physical touch, got it."
She had this mischievous look on her face, as she folded the sheet.
"Now, unto other important topics of discussion."
"Like?"
"My freedom."
"No, we've been over this, I am not letting you slip out of my grasp again."
"Yes I know, that is why I am not saying you let me go completely, rather, what I am suggesting is more, feasible."
"And what exactly are you suggesting?"
"A compromise."
"I'm listening."
"You allow me leave the villa, chaperoned of course, and you set a curfew, any time of your choice."
"And if you are out past this curfew?"
"Then you punish me once I return."
I smirked.
"Punish?"
"Yes, punish, any punishment of your choice, though not to extreme, maybe like spanki-"
The double meaning behind her words seemed to finally dawn on her, because she was quick to change her words.
"No! Not like that, I don't mean that."
"I know not what you speak of, would you mind elaborating further?"
"Never mind, basically what I mean is that there will be repercussions, a consequence of your choice."
"Very well."
"Yes! Thank you."
"You know, for someone who supposedly hates me, you seem to be showing a great deal of gratitude these days."
She smiled innocently and said.
"Oh no, it's all a farce, I intend to make you think that I am being co-operative, then proceed to stab you in your sleep."
"Wow, I am already looking forward to your late night visit, I am sure it will be nothing short of memorable."
"You really are a pyscho."
"Charmed."
She stood up, and headed for the door, getting to it then taking holding of the handle, she paused and turned to me.
"Goodnight Enzo."
Noticing that she had given me a nickname, I smiled.
She had come a long way from when she used to call me Mr. Luca.
Surprisingly, for someone who claimed to despise me, she seemed to be quite fond of me.
At the moment that is.
I reciprocated her farewell and bid her a good night as well.
"Goodnight Len."
