LORENZO
I was raging, and I needed to take my anger out on something, more precisely someone.
After a phone call to Raph I went to my room to change, and then headed to my study.
I got to a bookshelf and pulled on a copy of Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, the bookshelf pulled away to reveal a tunnel, a tunnel which I knew just where it led to.
I walked in and it shut behind me, as a mafia don, I had to have my own, well hide out, in which I took people to beat them up, torture them, depending on the severity of their sins.
As I walked passed a multitude of cells the people held in them rushed to the bars, and began screaming.
"Mr. Luca please, let me out!"
"Mr. Luca, forgive me!"
Some where apologetic, not like it drew much sympathy from me, whilst others where more, aggressive.
"Luca! You son of a bitch! Just wait till I get out of here, hell will reign on you and your loved ones for as long as I breathe!"
"You monster!"
"Luca you bastard, let me out of here!"
I found their attempts to be provocative amusing, but at some point it became irritating.
"Shut the fuck up!"
It suddenly became eerily quite.
"I did not come here for any of you, but don't be impatient, I will deal with you all soon enough, then your meaningless lives can finally meet a well deserved end."
They began to scream and wail again, but I just went passed them I had no need for any of them, not yet at least.
My business was with one man.
That man namely being Mr. Davis, otherwise known to me as the man who attempted to assault Len at the bar.
I had requested Raph bring him here, I needed to deal with him myself.
I walked into the cell, the one where I told him to put Davis.
I heard Davis screaming, as he was blindfolded and chained to a punching bag, continuously spinning round.
"Where am I?!"
I nodded at Raph, and he back at me.
"Who's there?!"
"I demand you let me go! Do know who I am? I'll-"
I grabbed him by his hair, to stop him spinning and took of his blindfold, so he could look me in the eyes.
Then I spoke.
"Do you know who I am?"
"How the hell would I know?"
"Well I know you Mr. Davis, and I know what you've been up to."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Last night, you were at a bar, there was a woman, white hair, blue eyes, chocolate skin?"
"Ring a bell? She was drunk, and you tried to take advantage of her."
"Ah yes, that slut, pretending to be drunk and playing hard to get, kept resisting when I tried to touch her, if only that man didn't interfere."
"Hm..."
I was dangerously close to smashing his head in.
My resolve only hanging thinly by a thread.
"Look, we can resolve this like men, I wasn't aware she was your plaything, I understand that some men are selfish, when it comes to their belongings, so I can pay you, as a token of my apologies, name your price, for the girl-"
I didn't wait for him to finish, before my fist connected with his jaw, the thread snapped, and the bloodlust emanating from me made him visibly shiver.
"See Davis, you've made countless mistakes, obviously since the start of your life, but your most outstanding mistake, started yesterday, when you touched what wasn't yours."
"I-"
I punched him again.
"See that woman, you touched, was mine, and I do not take lightly, to people touching what's mine."
"So I'll just have to discipline you, won't I?"
Saying that, I pulled a cloth of the table beside me, which revealed two, massive needle like objects, that had a wire connecting them to a remote I held in my hand.
Taking those two pincer like tools, I shoved them into his shoulders, deep.
He screamed loudly, but I grabbed his hair again, and shoved his head back, into the bag.
"Now, now Davis, you cannot truly be hurting just yet, can you?"
He whimpered pathetically.
"I'm just getting started."
Saying that, I turned the knob on the remote in my hand, and volts of electricity ran through his body, making him screech incoherently.
The more I thought about him laying his dirty hands on my Len, The angrier I became, and as my anger increased, so did the electrical volts, though not enough to deal him the sweet hand of death.
When I felt satisfied with the damage the electricity had dealt to his body, I switched of the remote, and retrieved the needles from his body.
He looked almost near dead.
But while I was satisfied with his current state, it wasn't enough, the pain he felt was nowhere near enough.
No one; No one, touched what was mine.
"Tell me Davis, I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt, so I'll hear you out."
"What was running through your head, when you touched the woman? What were you hoping to achieve?"
"I-I just wanted to have a bit of fun with her, you know, as a man, you should understand."
"Maybe, but of all women there, why her, and why be forceful."
As I said that, the moron, had the audacity to grin at me.
"Oh come on, you want to act like you do not know of the thrill, forcing someone can bring? Besides, she had a big ass-"
See I never let him finish what he wanted to say, for both his sake and mine, because if he did, I would not hesitate, to rip his head of his neck.
"Wrong answer."
Saying that I punched his face, over and over and over again, and yet, seeing the deformity that one could have once called his face, seeing it all battered up and sunken, seeing it bloody, knowing that if I looked down at my hands I would see his blood on them, seeing all of that, still did not quench the thirst I had to see him properly bleed.
At that moment I knew, I would not be content unless I filled his brain with lead, forming massive holes through his body.
I pulled out a gun, and aimed it at him, my face devoid of any traces of pity or emotion whatsoever, men like this-
No, he wasn't even a man, he was an animal, and animals like him, did not deserve, to walk this earth.
Saying that I pulled the trigger, filling his body with countless holes, the bullets went through him, piercing the bag, and causing sand, to spill out.
YELENA
Earlier...
I needed to speak to Lorenzo, about the punishment, I hoped he'd let me off the hook, and he seemed to forget about it, since he didn't mention it.
So if I mentioned it now, it could be dangerous, but I had to try and convince him to let it go.
After what happened at the bar, and the state of which I returned home, he'd be sure to forgive me and let it slide, right?
I set off to look for him, checking first, his study, when I didn't see him in there, I was about to leave, when a finely furnished bookshelf, at the side of the room caught my attention.
The mahogany texture was beautiful, what's more each shelf was stacked, with classics.
From Mark Twain, to Charles Dickens, Shakespeare, and even a few Russian authors like Fyodor Dostoevsky, it was stunning.
I moved along the shelf, observing all the different authors, then I spotted it.
A classic, Jane Austen, but this one was different, this one was special, it was a premium copy of Pride and Prejudice.
Well, I certainly had to have it, if Lorenzo loved me as much as he claims he does, he wouldn't mind gifting me a book would he.
I pulled it out to observe it further, but then something strange happened.
The shelf pulled away, revealing a secret entrance.
Where to? I was unsure.
My instincts were screaming at me to run, telling me, that I would not like whatever I were to find inside, however I betrayed them, and gave in to the curiosity filling me, and walked in, the shelf shutting behind me.
I was not sure how I would get out, but I'd cross that bridge when I'd get there.
Walking in, I noticed there were rooms on each side.
But upon closer inspection, they weren't rooms, they were cells, and they weren't empty.
The people in them began screaming and yelling all sorts.
I got startled, and ran down the pathway, stopping only when the screams had ceased.
I stopped by a cell that was open, to catch my breath, but when I looked in, the sight I met, left me utterly horrified.
Lorenzo was standing in front of a punching bag, with a man chained to it, all bloodied, his face disfigured.
Lorenzo brought out a gun, and I witnessed him fill the mans head and body with lead, multiple times.
Bits of the mans brain splattered unto the floor, then I suddenly felt sick, doubling over, and throwing up the contents in my stomach.
LORENZO
I heard the sound of someone retching, and looked behind me, only to see Len, throwing up.
My blood ran cold, what was she doing here?
This was the one place I never wanted her to see, the one part of me, I never wanted her to see.
Fuck!
I cautiously approached her.
"Len...Are you okay." I reached out to touch her but she backed away, her eyes wide, fear written all over her face.
"No don't touch me!"
"Len..."
"Do not, touch me, you filthy murderer."
"Len, I-"
"You what?!"
"What Lorenzo?! I just watched you kill a man."
"I never intended for you to see this."
"It does not matter! What reason could you possibly have for killing him."
"I-"
"WHY, LORENZO!"
"He touched you!"
"W-what?"
"He was the man at the bar. The man who tried to assault you, I couldn't stand it, so I-"
"Killed him?"
"Len, I didn't plan to kill him."
"It does not matter what you planned."
"Len-"
"No, you said it yourself, he only tried, he did not succeed, I'm fine, you didn't need to kill him because of that."
"Len, you didn't hear the things he said about you, he was a monster, he didn't deserve to live."
"Oh so now you are so righteous, that you get to decide who lives and who dies, when you have done horrible things yourself."
"Len, this was different."
"I do not care, you do not get to take the lives of others like that, do you not care about collateral damage?"
"You took this mans life, he could have had kids, he could have had a wife, he could have had a family."
"He did not."
"It still does not give you the right to kill him!"
"Len, I am a mafia don! It's what I fucking do!"
"Killing people?"
"Yes, Len, yes I kill people, it is part of the job, do you really think, I just sit at the top and everyone fears me, and yet I don't get my hands dirty?"
"I-"
"That's not how it works love, open your eyes, the world is not all that glamorous, and neither am I."
Silence reigned between us for a brief moment, before she looked at me with pure disdain in her eyes.
"You're a monster."
She said that, and walked away, leaving me standing there covered in blood, and a million thoughts running through my mind.
