Li Qin stepped back in fear as she looked at Huo Shen's eyes, hiding a violent rage behind his icy demeanor.
But she couldn't let the wealth she had grasped slip away.
Regaining her composure, she quickly followed Huo Shen as he made his way home.
"Brother, that's not what I meant," she said. "I just feel like we haven't seen each other for so many years and we don't even keep in touch."
"We've grown somewhat distant, but even though mom is no longer with us, grandpa and our dad are still around! We can't just ignore our relatives."
"So, I suggest we meet in Beijing and have a meal together?"
"Oh right, your family must have a telephone, right? Could you give me the number? It would make it easier for me to get in touch with you..."
Huo Shen glanced at her and parted his thin lips to recite a string of numbers.
"Don't contact me unless it's necessary..."
With that, he walked away without looking back.
