After my last period ended, I left the school then went to a nearby library to find books that helps me with the topics being discussed during my classes. Even though I've transmigrated, I still have to suffer with studying 5 times a day...
In my original world, my life did not always revolve around making novels. I had my own personal life as well, aside from being a novelist. Im a full time student, and by full time student, I mean full-full time. After class ended, I usually go to the library near the school to find books that help me understand lessons that I find confusing. I also do short quizzes when I arrive home, so that I could get a gist of the whole thing. Basically, I just study and study. And during the weekends, I also study.
You may ask why I always study, well it's because of a certain incident that happened before. So many years back, when I was around 6 years old, my mother died due to heart problems, and the one thing that she wanted me to do was to study hard. And since then, I diligently focused on my academics.
Things were going well for my father and I, until a certain day after school. I luckily got the exact passing score for my test, however, My father saw my grade, then got furious at me for not reaching a perfect mark. He got more used to me getting perfect grades rather than me obtaining a passing mark. He would punish me by not letting me eat for a whole day or make me study for the entire night without a wink of sleep. It was a pretty unpleasant experience for me, and I decided to move into another place where I could have my own peace without any overwhelming pressure from my father. And since then, I decided to write novels for a living, and fortunately, luck smiled upon me and gave me a decent salary for my novels. Things went well until I transmigrated into this damn novel.
Well enough about my story, back to the present time.
[ You are a big nerd! You always study :b ]
"Oh, is that so? It's apart of my daily routine when I was in my original world, so get used to it." Ain chuckled at how the system called him, "nerd". How hilarious, he hasn't been called by that name for a very long time now. Who knew that a system would call him a nerd? Quite laughable.
After 10 minutes of walking, I arrived at the library and entered the building. I then grabbed about 3-5 books as a reference to my topics from earlier, then began reading them. It was getting pretty dark after I finished studying, so I returned the books back to their respective shelves, then headed home.
And before you ask, yes I know where to go. It's my instincts telling me so.
I arrived at my place, then decided to cook dinner and do my usual night routine. After a long exhausting day at school, I took a shower, dressed up for bed, then laid on my bed to talk to the good ol' system.
"Hey, blue. I checked in the system a few minutes ago, and noticed that there was a point section. How do I gain points?" Ain questioned, feeling a bit confused and curious.
[ What's with the stupid name!? Anyway, you gain points by increasing the main couple's affection for each other, or affection to you. ]
"Ahh okay.. so basically, I either make them fall for each other or fall for me in order to attain points?"
[ Yep, but dont expect them to fall in love with you so easily. Unless if you wanna keep your ego and still miserably fail ]
"Being an egoist is a part of my nature." Ain gave the system a teasing grin, making the window irritated and glitch due to annoyance.
[ I'm starting you dislike you!! ]
"Aww, I love you too"
[ You..! >:{ ]
After their continuous argument and teasing, they slowly stopped and Ain gradually fell asleep, slumbering under the vast blanket of stars.
The next morning, Ain got himself ready for school and double checked his things. Afterwards, he departed for school
Fast forward, he arrived in front of the school gate, panting heavily and desperately trying to catch his breath.
"Haah... haah.. what is this exercise!? I thought that I only needed to help the couple's love progress, but now I gotta run!?!? How preposterous!" Ain shouted, already fed up with the ridiculous menial tasks.
[ Hey, hey! Calm down now.. here, a little refreshment for you. T-T ]
[ You have obtained 900 points ]
"Wait.. what..." Ain's eyes and jaw had dropped to the floor, utterly baffled by the huge amount of points he was given.
[ Feeling better now? ]
"Can you just carelessly give out points to me like it's nothing valuable? It's quite a large sum of points.."
[ Oh, that? You need not to worry about those, i'm quite rich after all ;) ]
"Another one of those braggy wealthy people I see... what's the use of these points anyway?"
[ It can help with unlocking certain skills, like love potion for instance, making them fall for each other within just a minute. ]
"Really?! How much do I need to earn for that potion thingy??" The man questioned
[ 1,000,000,000,000,000 points :) ]
Silence filled their atmosphere. A few seconds passed and Ain shouted, "YOU DAMN CAPITALIST TABLET LOOKING SQUARE!"
The man furiously huffed, crossing his arms and switching the subject, "Anyway, i'll be heading to class. Gotta manage my grades in another universe, hays.."
[ You can do It! :D ]
"Thanks, you can leave now."
[ Hmp, rude as ever :b ]
"Mhm, love you too" Ain stated, his statement dripping with sarcasm.
After their long conversation, Ain entered the school premises and went towards his classroom.
Before he could open the sliding door, a hand suddenly tapped on his shoulder, he turned his head to look who tapped him, and gave the person a shocked stare.
"Hey, why the shocked look?" The woman with snowy white hair asked, her dark red eyes forming a disappointed look, feeling a bit upset that Ain reacted like he saw an ugly ghost right infront of him.
"A-ah... hi.. can I help you?" Ain stammered, his hands moving around everywhere, almost like he's a mime.
"Why are you looking at me like i'm some wild bear? Chill out, I dont bite haha!" the white-haired woman laughed heartily, her mood suddenly changing from sad to happy.
"Sorry, just a bit suprised there.. may I ask what your name is?"
The woman suddenly paused and blinked at Cale for a few moments, then gave out a question
"Hey Cale.. don't tell me you forgot your own childhood friend..!"
Ain then also blinked back at her, now getting a hint on who she is. "Ah, Leia?"
Leia's eyes beamed with joy after hearing Ain's answer "Bingo! I almost thought that you had lost your memory there, ahaha! Still feeling tired buddy?"
"Yea.. so many things happening here and there.. oh by the way, a man yesterday asked me where you were. He looked a bit irritated.." Cale mentioned, faking about the fact that he doesn't know who Elvis is.
Leia was startled by what Cale said, then asked him, "Does he perhaps.. have pitch black hair, along with forest green eyes?"
"Yep, he was also quite tall." Cale added, enjoying Leia's rollercoaster expressions and emotions that's written all over her face.
"Aigo.. that was Elvis, he's a friend of mine.. he's been acting all intimidating around me ever since he moved to this school.. I don't know what happened to him.." Leia sighed, her eyes forming into a state of confusion.
'Eh..? Intimidating? I thought he was all gentle and soft around Leia? I wrote it down in the novel myself, why the sudden change?'
Ain was puzzled, wondering why the male lead acted so different towards the mc now.
