Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

The two students remained in the silent atmosphere, drowning in their own train of thoughts. When suddenly, an intimidating aura creeped up behind their backs.

"Leia.. Cale.." Elvis whispered, startling both Cale and Leia

Hearing this alarming and ominous voice, Leia suddenly fell to the floor, her legs still shaking from fear. "Waaah!! Elvis, what was that for!?! You could have just called us casually instead of acting like a haunted ghost ready to eat humans alive!!"

"Ahh.. maybe he just likes to go up to people that way..?" Cale interrupted, the corners of his mouth twitching while a cold bead of sweat dripped from his temples, suprised from the jumpscare earlier.

"No no, he never goes up to people like that! Look Elvis, I don't know why you acted like this ever since you transferred here, but don't rub your intimidating aura on Cale for goodness graces!" Leia yelled out, starting to feel slightly angry.

"Keep your mouth shut, pipsqueak." Elvis responded, his eyes narrowing.

Both Elvis and Leia began glaring at each other, showing an obvious expression of repugnance and hatred.

Ain was panicking and didn't know what to do in order to stop the fight, but then an idea suddenly came to his mind then pondered for a moment.

'Wait, since these two are already here, might as well make good use of it right?'

"Guys, no arguing in the hallway.. how about we go somewhere else? I could treat you guys some cream bread! I bet you two are pretty hungry" Cale interrupted, hoping that the two would stop fighting and could start to get along.

"Not hungry!"

"I'm full."

Upon stating their false thoughts, a loud grumble could be heard from Elvis' and Leia's stomach.

The trio remained quiet, the three of them being as still as stone. The used-to-be most quiet winds began to sound more clear and audible due to the silence flooding the entire atmosphere like a large swallowing tide.

"Ahh, I see that you two are hungry. No need to deny it, I will treat you guys some food." Cale chuckled awkwardly, still unable to forget the deafening grumbling noise coming from both of his friend's stomachs.

Leia was shocked upon hearing Cale's suggestion, and turned to him. "N-no no!! No need! You'll lose your money!!" Leia exclaimed loudly.

Elvis scoffed, "Keep your money, you yellow squid."

The first second, Ain felt very happy on how Leia was concerned of him spending his money for them, he could almost shed a tear because of how moved he was. But then the next second, as he heard Elvis call him a 'squid', several veins began popping up on his temples.

'Of all names you could have given me, why must it be a squid!? And yellow too!? Why!?!?'

[ Ahem, it's because your hair is yellow. Plus, you look like a cute squid! ]

'Ha.ha.ha. In my world, being called a squid means being called ugly.'

[ Don't believe him! You are very cute in my eyes! <33 ]

[ ?1us.. the body you are possessing is !@#$ Anyway.. ]

'Hm?'

[ Nothing! :D ]

Ain felt a bit suspicious about the confusing, jumbling message, but then decided to shrug it off thinking he was seeing things.

'Also, why are you so flirty today? But anyhoo.. thanks for the consoling, now shoo shoo!' Ain quickly pushed the system away, praying that the window would be gone right away.

[ Okay.. bye bye.. :,( ]

The window gave its short goodbye, and began to glitch then disappeared without showing a single trace of prints.

After his conversation with the window, he blinked then came back to his senses, regaining his sense of consciousness, he noticed one person suddenly panicking, and the other remaining unmoved.

"Hey hey!! Are you okay? Do you have a fever? Stomach pains? Headaches? Any signs of sickness??" Leia's pupils began to spin and loop out of concern.

"Ahh hey.. no need to worry, i'm feeling alright. I just zoned off into my own world of thoughts, that's all. Shall we head out for some food now?" Cale suggested.

"Mhm, mhm!" Leia nodded her head, excited to eat.

The nonchalant man blankly stared at Cale, making Cale a bit nervous and scared.

'This guy.. why is he always staring so much? He might pierce a hole right through me due to him staring too much.. but whatever, let's focus on the mission.' Ain shivered, chills crawling down his spine. He then slowly shrugged off the chilly feeling, proceeding his short walk to the cafeteria.
