"This would be a suitable place for us, for now at least." Bruce said looking at the empty space in the forest just where the stream connected to the river. His companions looked at him and then at the spot he was looking at. They weren't sure about the new settlement but at that time, no one seemed to have a choice.
"Well, at least we can see tonight." Milo said, then he went down on the soft grass and lay with his back looking up to the sky with the thoughts of his lost men running through his mind gradually.
"You feel guilty don't you?" Bruce said to Milo as he sat down on the fresh grass just beside him, then he turned towards him and smiled.
"They were so young. I always dreamt of leading them towards a better life." Milo said, then he sighed and turned his face towards his left shoulder turning completely away from Bruce.
"I am sure they know that you meant well for them. You need to be strong now for the rest of them."
