"What the hell was that?" Edzel blurted out, still baffled by the sudden event that occured.
Chris was not doing better as he too showed a rare expression of genuine surprise.
"That quill..." Edzel as if looking for confirmation turned his face to Chris.
Chris could only nod his head while confusion is still evident on his face. He remembered some specific items listed in Cursed Matter and one of the most bizarre item is a normal looking quill.
Malevolent Quill is a cursed object discovered in a ruins of temple. It was believed by the locals that the item was used by a so called Saint who brought light to their place.
Upon certain observation and experimentation, they were able to find that the quill is actually a sequence 9 of Buyagan pathway.
Buyagans are said to be mystic humanoid entity who is blessed with the silver tounge. They use this blessing however to practice black magic only to curse and wreck havoc. Henceforth, Buyagans are considered as demons from the old age.
Given that the Malevolent Quill is a sequence 9, it certainly is a powerful item that can alter the course of reality.
Unfortunately, on the day that it was about to get delivered for sealing, the Malevolent Quill suddenly vanished mysteriously.
But....
Who would've thought that this cursed object would be seen inside the realm of Charm Academia!
"Should we report this?" Chris who finally calmed down, asked with uncertainty.
Before Edzel could answer though, Professor Minerva casually walked out of the woods while puffing out smoke in the air.
Her smile is alluring as ever and the purple fit dress she's wearing accentuated her perfectly curved body.
"You naughty boys must've encountered that stupid Pop-up Store."
Chris and Edzel immediately understood some things after hearing her casual remarks. They nodded in unison to acknowledge the professor's words which made her smile even more.
"Just write over a simple report and submit it to the mission hall." With that, she once turned her back to them and walked towards the castle. But before getting far, she gave them a mysterious smile and said...
"Ah... Congratulations for discovering one of the 7 mysteries of Charm Academia!"
They both showed another surprised expression and their bewilderment made Professor Minerva laugh sonorously.

After that quick exchange with the curvaceous professor, the two of them decided to go back to the Senior's Caravan and check out other tents that they ignored before.
Deep inside though, they are both looking forward to encountering once again the elusive pop-up store that was mentioned by the professor.
Chris decided to buy other stuffs that he could use in the upcoming mission that he will take.
He mostly focused on projectiles and binding items but could only find minimal numbers in the caravan.
He plans to check the conical bamboo hat and the random fan that he grabbed in the scammer tent for later, together with the other items he bought.
Just as he was about to give up, he suddenly found an inconspicuous small roll of black wire. He curiously checked the features of the item and the information card beside it.
Item: Ghost Wire
Level: Sequence 3 of Gumon
Details: A small roll of black hair from mystic beast Gumin. This wire like hair is durable and can be used as a substitute for rope or can be used for binding.
Special Trait: Long Lasting - this small roll of hair can elongate from 1 meter to a kilometer.
Price: 45 contribution points
Chris who finally found a binding items was elated and immediately paid for the roll of hair. Edzel could only shook his head while looking at his bondage addict friend.
They soon got bored and decided to go back to the castle. After a while, the duo separated as both are planning ahead for the upcoming mission day.
Chris decided to just take his rest in his dorm room and check out the items that he purchased.
There are only 8 items that caught his attention which are now laying quietly in his bed.
He first checked out the roll of hair he just bought and made a satisfied nod. As a human hunter back in his mercenary days, binding items are a must to ensure that the enemy cannot escape.
There was once a time where his captured prey was able to tackle him down in surprise and managed to shake him off due to him not having any binding equipment. Since that day, Chris took note the importance of having such items that can help him immobilised his preys.
He tested the durability by using his old rusting dagger and was even surprised that the dagger was sliced like a butter instead!
"Good item!" He exclaimed and slid the roll in a simple sealing pouch that has a Baybayin Rune engraved in it.
He then checked out another item which appears to be a simple parchment that is folded into a bird.
Item: Death Call
Level: Sequence 1 of Kikik pathway
Details: A simple folded parchment shaped into a bird. This item is neither durable or useful for combat.
Special Trait: Death Tracker - by flying around, it can track those that are about to die and will notify user by making a noise.
Chris found this item quite useful and the only reason he purchased it is specifically because of its special trait to track death.
This item is so simple that it doesn't even require any sealing method which he also finds to be cost effective.
He then grabbed another item which is a small hand mirror that Edzel insisted for him to buy.
Its use is very simple which can basically reflect any magical type attacks. This added another layer of defense for him which he finds reassuring.
There's also the very plain vest that he purchased for quite a sum due to it being a defensive item.
Another item he found quite unusual is a pair of white socks. It can allow user to step on air but the prerequisite is that luck should be on your side while your life is in danger.
'It can be used for escape.' He took special note of this pair of socks and decided to wear it on the departure day.
One of the most special items he bought in the caravan is inside a transparent jar. Its seal on top is engraved with powerful Baybayin Runes as it is something that has the tendency to run away when freed.
A rare type of cursed object that has a small amount of sentience just like the crimson ball that is sitting still in his port card.
The object inside is actually a ghastly looking eyeball that is floating inside the jar. It is a very uncanny item he found in the caravan which has two special traits that are perfect for observation.
Item: Ghastly Eye
Level: Sequence 4 of unknown pathway
Details: A special cursed object that has a small amount of sentience. Its origins are unknown and has tendency to run away once the seal is taken off.
Special Traits: Spiritual Transparency - Can turn invisible if willed by user.
Ocular Sight - Once bonded, it can share things that it witness towards the user. It serves as another peering eye
Price: 249 contribution points
He plans to use this specifically for spying and observing targets. His lips surged upwards just by him thinking about using this eye for locking onto his enemy.
"Hehehehe!" He immediately realised this mistake and wiped away the smile he let out just a while ago.
"Fucking curse." He said in disdain
