~The Devouring Room~
"Let's end him, I will help" Niamh turned to face him properly. For some minutes, she was tongue-tied. Azazel grabbed her wrist and fastened his pace.
"You don't have much time. King Lansel may show up sooner which will be brutal" he dragged her behind on of the large pillars.
"Purify me" he whispered. Niamh hesitated for a while.
"Bestir!"
Be fast
He added impatiently. She opened her palm and the silver light glowed out forming a circle. She firmly dabbed her palm on his stomach. Azazel tensed up as the energy flowed into his body. He was gritting as beads of perspiration stood out on his forehead. He was struggling with his inner demons as he shut his eyes tight.
After a while, Niamh stopped and Azazel breathed out.
"Are you alright?" She asked.
"Good. It's a good thing I took control over the 70 demons I am possessed with. Now I'm purified" he smiled. His once red eyes were now bright blue.
"Let's go, be fast" he dragged her with him.
The arrived in front of a large door and they walked in.
"This is the devouring room. I believe someone close to you is locked here" Azazel explained.
"Vladimir" Niamh mouthed. They appeared in front of another large door. Dark energy was surrounding the door that no one dared to go closer to it. Niamh used her powers to purify the dark energy and she succeeded.
"The door is locked from inside" Azazel stated.
"I'll try" Niamh gestured her palms and chanted some mantra. The door made a 'crack' sound and after that, it shattered into tiny pieces of rock. Azazel went agape. "You are truly powerful!"
Niamh smiled and walked in. A lot of sacred things were stored there. In one corner was a coffin and Niamh rushed towards it.
"Careful!" Azazel ran after her. Unfortunately, he tripped and a box fell on the floor. He gently picked it up, it was labelled 'Ancient Pill'. He quickly hid the box in his inner pocket and walked further.
Niamh had already opened the coffin and there he is, Vladimir lying peacefully.
"Vlad! Vlad!" She tried waking him up but to no avail. With little energy in her fingers, she flicked his forehead and Vlad's eyes fluttered open.
"Vlad!" She hugged him.
"Wh..cough cough..."
"Don't talk. You slept for a way too long" Azazel chimed in.
"Let's get out of here" Niamh helped him up and they made their way out.
"What if Damien went to your chamber and couldn't find you?" Azazel suddenly asked. Niamh seemed to thing for a while.
"I have an idea" she moved away from them and clasped her pal s together, chanting a spell. An illusion of her appeared.
The duo gasped in shock.
"You are two?" Azazel asked.
"Yes, she is an illusion, not the real me" The real Niamh stated. The fake Neev is also dressed like her just that, she doesn't have the crown on her head. The fake Neev doesn't possess any power so, once she's hurt, she disappears.
"Go to my Manor and wait for him there" the real Niamh urged.
"Yes, M'lady" the illusion, fake Neev bowed and left.
"Now you, Vlad" Niamh snapped her fingers at his face and he disappeared.
"Now, let's get this done" Neev turned to Azazel. Niamh suddenly gasped as if she remembered something.
"Ever heard of the 'Red Sword'?" She asked.
"That was what Damien had been hiding, I believe it should be in his secret room" Azazel replied.
"Where's the secret room?"
Damien waked into Niamh's chamber to see her (the fake Neev) standing near the fireplace.
"Neev love" he called and Niamh slowly turned, smiling brightly at him. Damien grinned and strode towards her.
"I apologise for keeping you waiting" he circled his arms around her.
"No worry, I am glad you're here now" she whispered, circling her arms around his neck.
Almost immediately, Damien's shadow guard, Ned walked in.
"My Lord" Damien pulled away from Niamh and faced him.
"I apologise for barging in, there's a problem" Ned stated with a bow.
Damien stayed shut urging him to go ahead.
"I'd like to talk to you privately, my Lord" Ned stated.
"What do you mean? I am now his wife, Queen of Develdion! I should know whatever is going on" Niamh suddenly snapped, getting pissed off.
As if...
"She is right, speak up" Damien urged.
Ned bowed and gulped down.
"Someone broke into the devouring room"
GBANG! Damien heard a loud bang on his head.
"And the coffin is empty!" Ned added.
BADUM BADUM!
